Toronto’s Jimmy Johnson lets go of another melodically gritty record “Trust Me.” The Canadian crooner/rapper/producer (not quite sure how to classify him) has been gaining massive traction with projects like “In God We Trust” and “Red Ferrari.” Having just blessed us with “Winter’s End,” Jimmy from the 6 offers up “Trust Me,” a signature auto-tuned and grim sonic which touches on what seems to be his most favorable subjects, drugs and love. (or bad b****** to be specific) Jimmy’s undeniably bubbling and absolutely an artist to check for, trust me.

New Video: Jimmy Johnson – “I Wanna” (Prod. Eric Dingus)

Toronto native Jimmy Johnson drops the visual treatment for his second single “I Wanna” from his mixtape Red Ferrari. The Eric Dingus-produced track was recently premiered on Much Music channel, now it is available for the web to watch. The video concept is very simple but creates an impact as Jimmy raps/sings the lyrics “I wanna fast car, I wanna pool house, I wanna big house, I wanna yacht”. The aspiring video catches the glimpse of Jimmy hanging around in a big modern style luxury house with several girls taking care of his belongings and cooking away. The scene then switches to Jimmy Johnson driving around the city in his luxury car. This is just to keep his fans on their toes as they await patiently for the 6 rapper to drop more music and videos. New Music: Jimmy Johnson – “Just Another Day”

Toronto’s own Jimmy Johnson is continuing to drop new music with producer Eric Dingus. This time he hits us with “Just Another Day,” which is a brooding, menacing ride, similar to his other work with Dingus. Jimmy uses a bit of autotune on this cut, which surprisingly works for the track that tells a tale of a day in the 416. Check it out below.

Last week we gave you Jimmy Johnson’s new track “Northside”, and now the 21-year old Toronto native hits us with the visuals. The Tristan Prime-directed video sticks to the same black and white style that Jimmy is known for. Jimmy hangs out with his crew in the South-East Esplanade hood of Toronto. The track isn’t featured on his In God We Trust EP but is still produced by his go-to guy, Eric Dingus. Peep the video below.

The black and white Tristan Prime-directed video goes perfect with the track’s grim essence which is courtesy of producer Eric Dingus. It’s eerie, mysterious, and laid-back.
