Kel Mitchell chatted with Scoop B Radio’s Brandon ‘Scoop B’ Robinson about Kenan Thompson 

Last month, Nickelodeon royalty, Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell made a cameo on MTV’s TRL.

While on, Kenan rang Kel’s line and during their segment, TRL’s host, DC Young Fly asked the duo to reveal something about each other that no one knew.

Easy pitch for Kel! 

“People don’t really know that Kel really loves orange soda, for real,” Kenan informed TRL.

Say it ain’t so!!

Those guys are missed on prime time Saturday Night! Could you ever imagine the two making a comeback?

Last year, the two did a reunion segment of Good Burger on the Jimmy Fallon Show.

“That was definitely fun,” Kel Mitchell told me. “Jimmy got Keenan and I together and it was just an awesome moment.”

Added Mitchell:

“I remember putting on the Good Burger wig which I hadn’t done in a while and I remember seeing those Milli Vanilli-style wigs on the mannequin head. And it was like I put it on and it was a great moment. And also seeing Keenan walk by with the construction worker outfit on, it was a great moment on the Tonight Show. So shout out to Jimmy Fallon for that and we had a blast and now everybody, of course now is talking about a Good Burger 2 or us doing something cool like a Bad Boys type of film.”

Hey, there are always good Star Wars films out. Why not a Good Burger trilogy?

“Me and Keenan have definitely been talking about it,” said Kel. “So you definitely might see something coming out with me and him.”

Since the release of their long awaited album, Culture, Migos have been on a roll. This past Thursday, Migos were the guests on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. But before the trio could perform their latest hit, they joined Jimmy Fallon and The Roots in a hilarious classroom version of their smash hit, “Bad & Boujee.”

The video features the trio dressed in khaki’s, dress shirts and ties, while Jimmy and The Roots use pencils, a tissue box guitar and a cell phone to create the beat. It’s always a pleasure to see the old and young generations of hip-hop come together. This video shows more example of how Migos have truly affected culture. This new version of “Bad & Boujee” is one to remember. Check out the video and tell us what you think. Enjoy!

Has Future taken over the title of best rapper alive?

2017 is here and Future is in full beast mode. It’s only been days since the release of his self-titled album Future and with no stops his fifth studio album is projected to top the billboards charts making this Future’s fourth number one album.  It’s amazing how his new project is nothing short of pure quality. Great production sets the background for Future’s catchy hooks, which he displayed on 17 different songs each with it’s own captivating story.

Tuesday, Future, along with DJ Esco, took to the Jimmy Fallon stage to perform “Draco“ Llive for the first time ever on television.  Now you might be asking yourself how has Future taken the title of best rapper alive? Honestly, he deserves the title and it should be given to him at this point in his notable career. Future has made countless hits while trailblazing a lane for many artists to follow. From the beginning this artist has called the charts home and hasn’t left.

As of this week, Future made a shocking announcement that he will drop another full 17 song album on February 24th, hinting that Rihanna and The Weeknd might feature on this project.  Die hard Future listeners instantly went into a frenzy. Along with a new album coming this week, the Atlanta native is also headlining a tour featuring some of the most influential artists in hip-hop right now.

The movie, Sausage Party shows Rogen’s “deranged” sense of humor and the dedication to his job and passion. Rogen mentioned it has taken him ten years to create the perfect movie down to the animation and music. Rogen and his team went as far as striving for the quality of Pixar and reaching out to the American musical theatre and film composer, Alan Menken for the music. This is not the mediocre, adult cartoon many were expecting. The movie is set to be released into theaters August 11th.

While talking about the film Rogen showed his modesty by referring to this film that has taken up to “1/3 of his life” as a “hot dog movie”. Though his eagerness and excitement for the film showed, it is nice to see a humble creator. It just adds to his quirkiness.

Moving on to the lip sync portion of Jimmy Fallon, Rogen shows up and shows out. Anyone who watches Jimmy Fallon looks forward to the different degree of fun Fallon brings to the show. Rogen’s first choice in the battle included the unexpected Roots Band single, “Mellow My Man”. As the band played live, Rogen lip synced to Back Throught’s verse. Not only did they perform live, they also lent him a legendary “comb with the black fist”. Fallon felt betrayed by his house band to say the least.

Rogen’s next choice is not as legendary, but a catchy tune that has taken over the past year just as much as the artist. “Hotline Bling” really added the cherry on top of Rogen’s performance. Repping Toronto as his home, or the 6ix as Drake would call it, Rogen threw on a grey turtle neck while he mimicked the verses to a tee. I was in awe and in tears from laughing so hard, honestly. He also fearlessly hit the jig, Drake has been revered from in multiple memes. Gotta love ’em.

Whether Rogen has a great publicist, or is just a great human being, or both. This episode of Jimmy Fallon is one for the books. Watch some scenes below!

The grammy-nominated, Wale gave a happy-go-lucky performance last night on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. With the help of The Roots, Wale sang his new single “My P.Y.T.”

The performance promoted his new mixtape, Summer on Sunset dropping on Friday, and his upcoming album S.H.I.N.E to be released later this year.

Wale was relaxed and grinning, as he started his performance by casually filming himself on Snapchat. In his chain and Adidas shirt, Wale crooned the updated version of an iconic Michael Jackson number.

The comparison to Jackson stops pretty much after the title of the song and chorus. “My P.Y.T” is undeniably a product of the Caribbean influences in hip-hop today.

Between the Snapchat-ing and yells of “anotha one” mid-song, the DJ Khaled references point to the lighthearted nature of the song.

Wale was in his element, but performs as if he’s singing along with his friends. We’ll all be guilty of this the more and more the single is played on the radio.

While reviving Jackson, Wale’s song also seems reminiscent of Sean Kingston‘s “Beautiful Girls.” “My P.Y.T.” has that relaxed summer vibe that the charts are so fond of, and the chorus of “I want to love you/Pretty Young Thing” are already infamous.

Wale danced his way over to Fallon’s corner to the crowds’ delight. Then, Wale metaphorically dropped the mike with his final statement of “Hit me on the Snapchat.”
