The Los Angeles Rams is a name that resonates with many people. It is a NFL team that’s had a dominant performance through the decades. Football is a sport that unites and excited the Americans population. In many ways, it has a positive impact on lives. This is an affirmation that Leo Frost relates to every single day. He’s a fearsome jeweler from Houston, Texas. One who has a business centered around confidence, trust and dedication.

Leo Frost is a dreamer willing to put everything on the line. A young entrepreneur shining in a world of immense competition. Many say that he is a humble and joyful person. When asked how he started making jewelry for the Rams. He replied, I was talking to Bobby Evans. He told me he wanted to make an FTF design which stood for “feed the family.” The next thing you know I was working on his piece. I flew to Los Angeles to drop it off and Bobby and I clicked. A little while later, Bobby invited me back to Los Angeles. He introduced me to his friends; the rest was history.” This does not come as a surprise many people who know Leo. He exudes excitement and exemplary work ethic. Who would not want to feel this energy?

Leo Frost is just starting to take over the industry. His social media presence is amazing, which helps to boost his reputation. He believes his passion is what makes others consider purchasing his jewelry. Several Rams players such as Nick Scott, Bobby Evans Jr. and Josh Reynolds have become his regular customers. Collectively just those 3 players have spent over $150,000 with Leo. Buying things like vs diamonds, baguettes, cuban links, bracelets and pendants.

The secret to his success is referrals and good business. “I want them to know that I’m in this game. I want them to know I’m coming for everybody’s neck.” Those were the parting shots from a fearsome jeweler and Rams fanatic!

Gavriel, NYC LUXURY’s  CEO & Founder chatted with RESPECT Magazine about his journey and the future of this business. He has a cool story, as well. By the way, he credits Jacob The Jeweler as one of his biggest influences! You know who Jacob The Jeweler is! He’s the guy who designed the timepiece with the different time zones and the ‘Jesus piece’ that The Notorious B.I.G. first rocked and then Kanye West, Nas and other notable figures began sporting.

But I digress.

What stands out unequivocally about Gavriel is how many jobs he had before he became a celebrity jeweler. Gavriel came to the USA in the early 90s. A refugee from Uzbekistan after the collapse of the Soviet Union. His parents immigrated to the US for religious freedoms and overall a better life.

SCOOP B: Your journey coming from your native land is interesting. More impressive is taking odd jobs. What did you learn about yourself in that process?

Gavriel: I’ve been a valet parker, bartender, waiter, a busboy, lifeguard, swimming instructor. I even worked at Victoria’s Secret in loss prevention. I learned that if you want to make it big, you don’t need to be a rocket scientist. You just need to be your own boss and work for yourself.

SCOOP B: Do you find that athletes and entertainers are as interested in your renting service as are regular working people?

Gavriel: We have noticed that athletes and people in the entertainment industry are more likely to rent and lease then even the average person, due to the fact that they’re high incomes aren’t always not guaranteed. They also have an image to keep up with, they like to constantly have new and up to date models. They wanna always be seen in something new. With Vyrent, they have no or short commitments and have programs to have new watches and jewelry every 30 days.

SCOOP B: What are the pros and cons of renting rather than buying?

Gavriel: With VYRENT, a client can have a new look every 30 days and can have a whole collection with a small monthly payment.

Within the past couple years the fashion world has been shedding more light onto the men apparel industry. Don’t believe us? He looks up to Tom Ford, Jerry Lorenzo and Mike Amiri for fashion inspiration along the way. Respectively, if you look at his pieces and feel it would match perfectly with a Tom Ford suit that is why.

Neman is very hands on with Regime NY due to 95% of the designs coming from himself while gaining influence from minimalist concepts.

The more in depth he got into this line the more he realized how separate the accessory industry is from the clothing. Granted they both piggy back off each other however, there is somewhat of a difference between the two. “Jewelry is very meticulous and hard to put out on a runway” says Neman when explaining his perception of this industry.

With Regime NY being around for a short time it has seen much success, with the likes of Jamie Foxx, Nick Jonas and Fetty Wap … just to name a few indulging in the austere designs of the line. If this is a foreshadow of whats to come Regime NY has a vivid road ahead.

Like most fresh new lines the best advertisement is word of mouth and this method has worked adequately for Regime NY. With Instagram being another outlet for viewing Regime NY pieces this is also the best way to place custom orders.

With everyone dream-chasing Neman made one thing very clear:

Everyone’s heard Big Sean talk about how Kanye West gave him his first Jesus Piece and how he always wanted a “Rolly like Pac.”  Well now he’s got those and more, and he goes in-depth about his jewelry game with GQ.

The interview covers everything from his first chain to his jewelry idols.  Just don’t ask him how much his lion chain costs.

After our interview, Big Sean made a humble request: “Hey, you know what, can you do me a favor? Can you not let people know how much my lion chain costs? I don’t want people to know…only ’cause my mom is really heavy on that.”

It’s good to see the Kanye protégé being humble.
