In the midst of Washington, D.C.’s current Hip-Hop renaissance, GoldLink is something of a wildcard. The Northern Virginia-based emcee has separated himself from the rest of his peers via his ability to walk the line between Rap and a slew of Electronic sub-genres pretty effortlessly (think Azealia Banks if she didn’t obliterate her career with off-court antics). Now, it looks like he’s ready to follow-up the critically-acclaimed (or criminally slept-on) And After That, We Didn’t Talk with a new release, and he’s already kick-started that momentum with the cookout-ready “Fall In Love” and bouncy, laid-back cut “Crew“, the latter of which features fellow D.C. artist Jefe (formerly known as Shy Glizzy) and Maryland newcomer Brent Faiyaz.

This week, Goldlink liberated a new visual for “Crew”, which sees the three collaborators celebrating their successes back in their hometown (complete with what looks like some throwback footage from a decade ago). The wintry clip is a perfect match for the song, which blends GoldLink’s machine gun flow with Jefe’s more straight to the point, methodical style — a great example of how multi-faceted Hip-Hop from the Nation’s Capital really is.

It takes a lot to be Jefe; so says Barry Bondz!

This latest video installment places Barry Bondz, a Newark, NJ representer everywhere you could imagine in New Jersey and North Carolina.

The fourth single off of his, “The Genco” album, the video zeroes in on the day in the life of Bondz.

It isn’t an easy feat, but he seems to be doing okay.
