Today music’s royal couple celebrate their eighth wedding anniversary.  On April 4th of 2008 the pair exchanged their vows in a private ceremony of family and friends that consisted of only 4 guests.  Being obsessed with the number 4, because both of them were born on the 4th day of their selected months.  Today marks an even more special anniversary, being the eighth year signifying the number 4 times two.

Together and separately they have conquered a lot in the music and business world. And with any couple they have also endured their fair share of rumors.  From divorce, to cheating etc. you name it. Of course we can’t forget the infamous elevator incident that took place during the Met Gala Ball in 2014.  Aside from all of that, the couple’s relationship has still represented what many aspire and strive for in a potential lover.  In January of 2012 the couple made their twosome into a threesome welcoming their heir to the Roc throne Blue Ivy Carter.

FINALLY TIDAL has given up the goods pertaining to Kanye‘s 7th studio album The Life Of Pablo. The streaming service has withheld the stats numbering up to West’s first week sales, leaving many wondering if the album was a flop or not. A month later after the release the final numbers are in.

According to the press release, The Life Of Pablo was streamed more than 250 million times in it’s first 10 days. Billboard‘s streaming sales format equals one album per 1,500 streams. Meaning Kanye would have moved roughly 167,000 units in his first week of sales. It would have earned the rapper another number 1 album but it also would have been his lowest sales opening of his career.

However, TIDAL still has a reason to celebrate the album’s success. With help from TLOP, TIDAL has finally surpassed their three million subscribers mark with 1.35 million subscribers using the $19.99 per month subscription.  While Kanye’s album helped doubled TIDAL’s subscribers, earlier this year Rihanna‘s ANTI album lent its support to the movement too. By ANTI being a TIDAL exclusive it garnered the service with one million trial subscribers. With TIDAL celebrating it’s one-year anniversary it seems things are on the up for Jay-Z.

Although Kanye swears that “my music will never be on Apple,” just this week his fan favorite track “Famous” found its way on Apple Music and Spotify.  Now we’ll pray that he’ll go back to making physical copies.
