Late Legendary Producer’s Gems are Recovered in New Beat Tape Titled ‘Jay Dee’s Ma Dukes Collection’

This Christmas has been full of surprises due to the new music being released on the most wonderful time of the year. Out of loving memory for one special music producer, a pleasing collection of beats has been released to the public thanks to Yancey Media Group LLC / Official Ma Dukes / VINTAGE VIBEZ MUSIC GROUP. Detroit legend J Dilla had a lot of gems in his music production vault before his passing in 2006. Mysteriously, 15 untitled tracks made it to his new beat tape titled, JAY DEE’S MA DUKES COLLECTION and it is now available on major streaming platforms.

The death of J Dilla had a major impact in the Hip-Hop community. During his wonderful time here, his music production changed the music game for the better. Although the music mysteriously appeared, we are left to assume the producers loving mother Maureen “Ma Dukes” Yancey helped out with the release. The influential rapper is missed but J Dilla fans are grateful to finally have this new music in their hands. Stream the timeless beats on his new album below.

Listen to Magnif’s Latest Single “The Last” (Prod. By J Dilla)

You can never really go wrong with anything legitamately relating to J Dilla. On Magnif’s latest single “The Last,” the Detroit dweller displays smooth rhymes, complimenting dreamy vocal samples, to the downright neck-breaking percussion provided by Dilla. The two have a connection that goes all the way back to 2003, when Magnif, as one-half of the underground duo Lawless Element, worked with Dilla on several notable cuts. This is indeed an emotional reminder of the history these two could have made together, had Dilla not untimely passed away in 2006. Check out the track below and let us know how it makes you feel.

New Music: AZ “The Season” prod. J Dilla

The Visualiza aka AZ takes his turn over the classic J Dilla produced track now made epic by flipping Nas’ version of “The Season”. The best at flowing along side of God’s Son, AZ gives us more of those gems of greatness in that Brooklyn slang speak: “Follow me flow/the era of the Wallabee toe/It’s whatever, was taught to get it whether the economy slow/Don on the low/escaped from Williams and Blake without a scrape…”

Judging from the picture above, with Nas’ brother Jungle standing, Nas writing and AZ inspecting some work, it wouldn’t be far fetched to think that a project with these two is being cooked up. Could a new set up of The Firm be in the works? We can only pray so.
