Repping New Jersey, rising singer Michael Luna teams up with West Coast duo Audio Push to drop his laid-back new single, “Alright”. Tae Miles – “IMX”

Tae Miles has been making us wait and wait and wait for the release of his upcoming project, CurlPattern. He gave us a taste a little while back when he dropped “Landline”, which was his clever spin on Drake’s popular record, “Hotline Bling”, but since then it’s been fairly quiet; until this week. Tae is back with a new joint, titled “IMX” (or Immature, like the 90’s R&B trio) which he has labeled as CurlPattern’s first official single. Press play.

James Fauntleroy – “Sound So Sure”

James Fauntleroy is good for popping up out of the blue and giving us a jam. This week is no exception as he released “Sound So Sure”. Usually taking a soulful approach to his music, James switches things up a bit, on this one, channeling a more Alternative sound.

Theophilus London – “Stay”

In 2014, Theo dropped his crazy sophomore LP, Vibes, seemed to be building a close relationship with Kanye West, then he kind of faded away. But since we have new music, let’s give the him the benefit of the doubt here, and say he’s been MIA because he has been working. His upcoming album, NY THEO, is prepped for a summer release. GoldLink – “Celebration Freestyle”

No strangers to collaborating with one another, GoldLink and Kaytranada clique up once again; this time for “Celebration”, which is an ode to the fact that the DMV spitter celebrated his 23rd birthday, this week. Check out the joint HERE (since GoldLink won’t allow embedding of this song) and while you’re at it, grab Kaytranada’s new album, 99.9%. GoldLink is featured on “Together”.

6LACK – “Prblms”

After seeing tweet after tweet about Atlanta’s 6LACK — particularly regarding this song — I decided to run over and give him a listen and I was glad I did. You should too, if you’re not already hip.

Fabrashay A. – “F*ck A Grammy”

It has been a while since we heard from Fab A, who has been working, but maintaining a relatively low profile. This week he emerged from the shadows and did work on Drake’s “Grammy”. Peep it.

The Internet is back with feel good music for the summer! The Odd Future (in which we heavily hope isn’t permanently broken up) extension dropped their Ego Death album today, and just like their previous album Feel Good,  their features and production are very limited but fitting. On this album, you can look forward to witnessing poppington artists like Janelle Monae, Tyler, The Creator, ROC Nation’s Vic Mensa, James Fauntleroy, and fire ass production from KAYTRANDA (who has worked with artists like GoldLink to Mick Jenkins) and Jimmy Douglass. 

Just based off the contributions to this album, it’s safe to say that “Ego Death” will be more youthful and a more upbeat project than “Feel Good”. Since we’re still holding our breath for Frank Ocean to release his follow-up to Channel Orange, there’s no reason to not bump Syd Tha Kyd’s & Matt Martians’ latest greatness. You can easily find it here on Spotify, or purchase through iTunes. Buy it. A$AP Rocky builds further anticipation for his upcoming album “A.L.L.A,” as he finally blesses us with the coveted tracklist. Pretty Flacko is at the apex of his musical career and with the tragic and untimely loss of his business partner and brother Yams, (RIP) Rocky’s newest album is positioned to be that much more personal and impactful. “A.L.L.A” enlists the help of some heavyweights including Future, Kanye West, Juicy J, UGK, Miguel, Rod Stewart, (yes, Rod Stewart) Schoolboy Q, and the addition of Lil Wayne to the previously released “M’$.” Eclectic looking cuts like “Canal St.” featuring Bones and “Westside Highway” with James Fauntleroy are going to add deeper elements to an album that we’re sure is geared to once again push musical boundaries.
