Rozay doesn&#8217;t slow down his work ethic with the latest release of another single. &#8220;<strong><em>Money Dance</em></strong>&#8221; features <strong>The Dream</strong>, and is the second single off his forthcoming album.<strong> Jake One</strong> produces this one, as he sets the tone early with the piano offset in the instrumental. It provides the soundscape that we hear Ross flow on, like &#8220;<em><strong>Diced Pineapples</strong></em>.&#8221;</p>

Having extensively covered and spent time around him, (albeit very briefly) Nacho defines artistic authenticity, furthering the notion that if he rhymes about it, he’s most likely done it. “<em><strong>Blunt Raps 2</strong></em>” finds the Seattle bad guy stepping outside the proverbial box, penning life scriptures over production from an array of beat makers (<strong>Harry Fraud</strong>, <strong>Jake One</strong>,<strong> League Of Starz</strong>, etc.) that are new to his catalogue. “<em><strong>BR2</strong></em>” is a 13-track quirky narrative, which presents a very polished Picasso, while staying true to his comedically ominous and gritty nature. Staples like “<em><strong>Nacho Man</strong></em>” and “<em><strong>In The Trump</strong></em>” (produced by Harry Fraud, who was also executively produced the project and released it under his <strong><a href="http://www.twitter.com/SRFSCHL">SRFSCHL</a></strong> label) lend way to newer vibes like “<em><strong>Hoes Call</strong></em>” and the League Of Starz produced “<em><strong>Dick Suckin Song</strong></em>.” Much to his liking, “<em><strong>Blunt Raps 2</strong></em>” perpetuates his campaign as Hip-Hop’s antagonist. For mature audiences only.</p>

<p>Producer extraordinaire<strong> Jake One</strong> showcases his talent in his latest installment of his &#8220;Behind the Beat&#8221; series. For this episode, he breaks down how he created &#8220;3 Kings&#8221;; the collaboration track with<strong> Rick Ross, Dr. Dre</strong> and <strong>Jay Z.</strong> He talks about how he drew his inspiration for the track from <strong>Drake</strong>&#8216;s &#8220;Lord Knows&#8221; produced by <strong>Just Blaze</strong>, and how the song came to life with the help of a karaoke machine and percussion courtesy of <strong>Black Milk</strong>. It&#8217;s pretty interesting to get into the mind of a producer to see how they bring our favorite tracks to life. Get into the mind of Jake One below.</p>

<p><strong>Rhymesayers</strong>, the nearly-twenty year-old independent Minnesota record label, is home to many great talents. Artists such as <strong>Atmosphere, MF DOOM, Brother Ali, Evidence</strong> and more call it home, and have released plenty of music through the label. That may be, at least in part, because the label shows some passion when it comes to releasing product. It&#8217;s important, as an artist, to know your art matters to people, and there&#8217;s no better way to show support than by pumping some cold hard dollars into those shiny circle things.</p>
<p>While the rise in digital sales continues, there is still a market for physical editions of albums, and perhaps none understand this market better than <strong>Rhymesayers</strong>. Throughout the years, the house <strong>Atmosphere</strong>, <strong>Musab</strong> and <strong>Brent Sayers</strong> built has released some extremely inspired pieces of art (that also house some pretty good music). Here are the five coolest album designs <strong>Rhymesayers</strong> has ever put on the shelf.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://respect-mag.com/the-5-coolest-rhymesayers-album-designs/never-better-pos/" rel="attachment wp-att-73285"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" data-attachment-id="73285" data-permalink="https://respect-mag.com/2014/03/the-5-coolest-rhymesayers-album-designs/never-better-pos/" data-orig-file="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/never-better-pos.jpg?fit=900%2C900&amp;ssl=1" data-orig-size="900,900" data-comments-opened="1" data-image-meta="{&quot;aperture&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;credit&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;camera&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;caption&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;created_timestamp&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;copyright&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;focal_length&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;iso&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;shutter_speed&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;title&quot;:&quot;&quot;}" data-image-title="never-better-pos" data-image-description="" data-image-caption="" data-medium-file="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/never-better-pos.jpg?fit=900%2C900&amp;ssl=1" data-large-file="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/never-better-pos.jpg?fit=640%2C640&amp;ssl=1" class="aligncenter size-large wp-image-73285" alt="never-better-pos" src="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/never-better-pos-640x640.jpg?resize=640%2C640" width="640" height="640" data-recalc-dims="1" /></a><strong>P.O.S. &#8211; <em>Never Better</em></strong><br />
<strong>P.O.S.’s</strong> follow-up to 2006’s <strong><em>Audition</em></strong> found the rapper in pieces — at least in the album packaging. <em><strong>Never Better</strong></em> includes six transparent inserts, ranging from a skull to a snake to the SMPTE color bars. In addition to those, there are 16 solid inserts that come stitched together, and can be pulled apart and laid under the transparent inserts, making for some crazy images (as well as alternate album covers when re-inserted into the case). Think of this as a cooler version of your grade school arts and crafts projects.</p>
<p><iframe loading="lazy" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/r6IrjDvVkKI" height="360" width="640" allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0"></iframe></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://respect-mag.com/the-5-coolest-rhymesayers-album-designs/grieves/" rel="attachment wp-att-73286"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" data-attachment-id="73286" data-permalink="https://respect-mag.com/2014/03/the-5-coolest-rhymesayers-album-designs/grieves/" data-orig-file="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/grieves.jpg?fit=900%2C900&amp;ssl=1" data-orig-size="900,900" data-comments-opened="1" data-image-meta="{&quot;aperture&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;credit&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;camera&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;caption&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;created_timestamp&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;copyright&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;focal_length&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;iso&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;shutter_speed&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;title&quot;:&quot;&quot;}" data-image-title="grieves" data-image-description="" data-image-caption="" data-medium-file="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/grieves.jpg?fit=900%2C900&amp;ssl=1" data-large-file="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/grieves.jpg?fit=640%2C640&amp;ssl=1" class="aligncenter size-large wp-image-73286" alt="grieves" src="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/grieves-640x640.jpg?resize=640%2C640" width="640" height="640" data-recalc-dims="1" /></a><strong>Grieves &#8211; <em>Together/Apart</em></strong><br />
<strong>Grieves’ Rhymesayers</strong> debut comes housed in a folded digipak that, when pulled apart, showcases some pretty great graffiti art. Unfolding the next two panels reveals the “Together” portion, which holds the CD, while the bottom grid (“Apart”) houses a bonus biographical DVD titled “Present/Tense.” While this may not be the most visually-striking album on the list, it gains points on the concept alone. The listener is finally “together” with <strong>Grieves</strong> on the CD, while being “apart” from him his whole life on the DVD.</p>

<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://respect-mag.com/the-5-coolest-rhymesayers-album-designs/the-family-sign/" rel="attachment wp-att-73287"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" data-attachment-id="73287" data-permalink="https://respect-mag.com/2014/03/the-5-coolest-rhymesayers-album-designs/the-family-sign/" data-orig-file="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/the-family-sign.jpg?fit=1000%2C1000&amp;ssl=1" data-orig-size="1000,1000" data-comments-opened="1" data-image-meta="{&quot;aperture&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;credit&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;camera&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;caption&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;created_timestamp&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;copyright&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;focal_length&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;iso&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;shutter_speed&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;title&quot;:&quot;&quot;}" data-image-title="the-family-sign" data-image-description="" data-image-caption="" data-medium-file="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/the-family-sign.jpg?fit=1000%2C1000&amp;ssl=1" data-large-file="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/the-family-sign.jpg?fit=640%2C640&amp;ssl=1" class="aligncenter size-large wp-image-73287" alt="the-family-sign" src="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/the-family-sign-640x640.jpg?resize=640%2C640" width="640" height="640" data-recalc-dims="1" /></a><strong>Atmosphere &#8211; <em>The Family Sign</em></strong><br />
Think of the packaging for <strong>Atmosphere’s</strong> sixth studio album as a classier version of <strong>Kanye West’s</strong> <em><strong>My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy</strong></em>. You get seven inserts emblazoned with lyrics written in silver foil and the digipak itself doubles as an actual picture frame so you can house each of the panels, giving you the option of seven different covers. Nothing classes up that empty mantel above your fireplace more than some smiling rappers. Also notable is<strong> Atmosphere’s</strong> previous album, <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vis502EZ5p4"><em><strong>When Life Gives You Lemons…</strong></em></a>, which includes a children’s story written by <strong>Slug</strong>.</p>
<p><iframe loading="lazy" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/NOS0DNE-hmQ" height="360" width="640" allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0"></iframe></p>

<p style="text-align: center;"><strong>MF DOOM &#8211;</strong><em><strong> MM..FOOD?</strong></em><br />
<strong>MF DOOM</strong> has always been one of the most enigmatic figures in hip-hop, so it was only appropriate that the <strong>Rhymesayers</strong> re-issue of his long-awaited follow-up to <em><strong>Operation Doomsday</strong></em> would come in nothing but a plain foil wrapper. Playing off the “Food” title, the packaging is reminiscent of pop tarts and other food sold in microwave hazardous material. The nutritional information-themed label not only gives buyers a small hint as to the contents — but it is also a scratch and sniff sticker that smells like hamburgers (yes, really). As if that wasn’t enough of a novelty for every Williamsborough-residing hipster to scour eBay for a remaining copy, the inside of the album also includes a vintage diner poster, as well as an <em><strong>MM..FOOD?</strong> </em>coaster.</p>
<p><iframe loading="lazy" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/Ek62epQCWfM" height="480" width="640" allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0"></iframe></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://respect-mag.com/the-5-coolest-rhymesayers-album-designs/stimuluspackage/" rel="attachment wp-att-73290"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" data-attachment-id="73290" data-permalink="https://respect-mag.com/2014/03/the-5-coolest-rhymesayers-album-designs/stimuluspackage/" data-orig-file="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/stimuluspackage.jpg?fit=900%2C760&amp;ssl=1" data-orig-size="900,760" data-comments-opened="1" data-image-meta="{&quot;aperture&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;credit&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;camera&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;caption&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;created_timestamp&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;copyright&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;focal_length&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;iso&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;shutter_speed&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;title&quot;:&quot;&quot;}" data-image-title="stimuluspackage" data-image-description="" data-image-caption="" data-medium-file="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/stimuluspackage.jpg?fit=900%2C760&amp;ssl=1" data-large-file="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/stimuluspackage.jpg?fit=640%2C540&amp;ssl=1" class="aligncenter size-large wp-image-73290" alt="stimuluspackage" src="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/stimuluspackage-640x540.jpg?resize=640%2C540" width="640" height="540" data-recalc-dims="1" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><strong>Freeway &amp; Jake One <em>&#8211; Stimulus Package</em></strong><br />
Designed by the legendary <strong>Brent Rollins, Freeway </strong>and<strong> Jake One’s<em> Stimulus Package</em></strong> is a crowning achievement in album design from any label, in any genre. The album features four <strong>Freeway</strong> dollar bills, along with four <strong>Jake One</strong> dollar bills, housed in a wallet. The wallet also has a slot for a digital download, in the form of a credit card. The whole thing is wrapped in a currency strap, featuring the album title. This may be the only album to make your wallet heavier.</p>

<p>We gave you the news about <a href="http://respect-mag.com/news-50-cent-leaves-shadyaftermath/"><strong>50 Cent&#8217;s</strong> new label situation </a>yesterday, and now <strong>50</strong> gives us his first video as an independent artist, with a track produced by<strong> Jake One</strong>. There&#8217;s no word on whether or not this will be one of the two tracks offered as an immediate download with the pre-order of <em><strong>Animal Ambition</strong></em>, but we are given a somber street tale with equally grimy visuals. Curtis has never been one to skimp on music videos, and it looks like the lack of a major label won&#8217;t be affecting his output on that end. Watch it below. Also, you can read <strong>50&#8217;s</strong> new interview with <a href="http://www.forbes.com/sites/zackomalleygreenburg/2014/02/21/50-cent-explains-how-he-left-interscope-debuts-funeral-video/"><em>Forbes</em></a> in which he elaborates a little further on his departure from Interscope.</p>
