Bobby Shmurda Arrested On New Charges

Since being arrested back in December 2014 on multiple felony charges, Epic Records signee Bobby Shmurda hasn’t had much go in his favor since. On Tuesday June 23rd, The ‘Hot N***a’ rapper was arrested once again, but this time for “promoting prison contraband” after he allegedly received a “sharpened metal instrument”. The Class D Felony is defined as “knowingly and unlawfully introduc[ing] any dangerous contraband into a detention facility,” or, “Being a person confined in a detention facility [who] knowingly and unlawfully makes, obtains or possesses any dangerous contraband” according to the New York penal code. While Shmurda’s October 5th trial date looms near, this new charge will not be discussed, and rather will be addressed at a later date and will be tried in the Bronx Criminal Court. News: Soulja Boy Will Report To Jail This Week

Seems like Soulja Boy is on his way to jail. The rapper tweeted on Saturday that he will report to jail on February 20th and start his sentence. It is uncertain which charge the “We Made It” rapper is being sentenced for. He was recently arrested and charged with gun possession last month, and he was arrested in 2011 on felony drug and weapon charges. Soulja Boy did not reveal how long he will be away, but he made sure to thank everyone who supported him during this tough time.

News: Lil Boosie to Reportedly Be Released From Prison in February

There has been much speculation on when Lil Boosie will finally be released from prison. Rumors began to spread that the Baton Rogue rapper could be released sometime in the summer; then there was a report that the official date was August 18, 2014. His brother, Taquari Hatch, would eventually clarify the news by saying that Boosie could be released as early as February 16, 2014 once he completes two classes that would enable him to be discharged from prison.

Well it seems that Boosie will be home a couple days earlier than what his brother expected. According to Miss Info, the rapper will be home February 13th.

The Bad Azz rapper has been incarcerated since 2009 for pleading guilty to third degree marijuana possession and violating parole. His sentenced was later extended when he plead guilty to attempting to smuggle drugs.

His official Twitter page tweeted “#COUNTDOWN” last week, which seems fitting since his alleged release date is about two weeks away.

Photo of the Day: C-Murder Got Some Time Out of Jail

C-Murder was granted a few hours outside the walls of the Angola State Penitentiary over the weekend. The circumstances were anything but joyous, however, as he attended a relative’s funeral. Romeo tweeted the above picture, saying that having a conversation with his uncle “was a blessing.” The rapper remained shackled at the waist throughout the visit, while dressed in an orange prison jumpsuit.

In 2009, C-Murder was convicted on the charge of fatally shooting a teenage fan in a Louisiana night club. He was sentenced to life in prison. While the rapper continues to proclaim his innocence, the charge was recently upheld by a three-judge panel from the state’s 5th Circuit Court of Appeal in 2011.
