Director Antoine Fuqua spoke on the release:

“‘In the Name of Love’ has a beautiful and important message about love that reflects exactly what our world needs to hear today. The lyrics cut deep and Jacob’s vocals are unmatched.”

Last month, UK singer Jacob Banks — if you don’t know who he is, shame on you — delivered a new single titled “Unknown (To You),” a new release that followed his EP The Boy Who Cried Freedom (released earlier this year). Now, that new single has a crazy new remix that comes courtesy of legendary beatsmith Timbaland. It’s not the signature boom-bap, beat-boxing style that you might be thinking, although the Virginia producer definitely adds to Robin Hannibal‘s operatic production with some harder-hitting percussion (think what he did to OneRepublic‘s “Apologize”).

Check out the Birmingham singer’s latest below. The original version of “Unknown (To You)” (as well as choice cuts like 2013’s The Monologue) can be found here.

The talented singer and songwriter, Jacob Banks out of London U.K drops an additive and chilling single. “Chainsmoking” is the second single release off of Jacob’s upcoming EP The Boy Who Cried Freedom, set for release sometime in spring 2017 under the label giant, Interscope Records.

An exciting blend of traditional soulful style meets electronic dance vibes, “Chainsmoking” is truly a track that showcases Jacob’s creativity while he gives a lesson in prosperity when chasing your goals. Recently this London artist took the stage at SXSW to perform in a few well-known showcases, making sure his name will not be forgotten anytime soon giving the people nothing but stellar performances, which ultimately landed this Nigerian born brit in The New York Times as a breakout act at SWSX 2017.

So with that said check out “Chansmoking” and look for Jacob on tour in New York and Los Angles this year.

U.K. singer and songwriter Jacob Banks and rapper Boogie releases an anthem dedicated to the everyday underdogs. In Bank’s newest track “Monster 2.0” he presents his compelling vocals while chanting the powerful lyrics “i’ll be the monster you’ve been wanting.” He introduces listeners to his inner warrior and alarms those that belittle his character by delivering the lyrics “You wont see me when I am coming, I’ll be the monster you’ve been wanting.” Banks conquers the oppressors alongside Boogie which raps his heartfelt verse “Lets subtract all the fake, I don’t need no additions.”

Jacob Banks is already a powerful force in music with his perfect blend of R&B, Soul, and Hip-Hop. He is one of the newly signed artists to Interscope Records and is gaining a lot of attention through displaying his intense vocal range. You can listen to the single “Monster 2.0” below.

Coming off his The Paradox EP, UK singer Jacob Banks gets creatively grimey in his new video “Monster.” Telling the story of a cold-hearted robbery, we see Banks performing in a parking garage surrounding by presumably dead bodies hanging out of a car trunk and chalk outlined on the ground. Filming the video in one take (and on the fly), the guerilla style visual proves to have been worth taking the risk to capture. According to Banks, the video aligned with the song perfectly as it spoke more so to a shift in his life: “The song came about when I was going through a phase of understanding that sometimes you have to take what you want, and as much as I don’t like it, sometimes it’s my only option.”

Now, MTV UK’s “Best MC of 2012” returns with his latest single, “Doing OK”, featuring soul newcomer Jacob Banks. Picking up where he left off with “Blackout”, the London rapper’s latest joint demonstrates his unique and incredible gift, mixing authenticity with wordplay and chilled melodies. Refreshing and original, if UK hip-hop is your thing, then Wretch 32 is a name you should know. He’s ready to lift off.
