A proud member of the bustling Haitian community in his native Pompano Beach, FL, Jackboy always stands up for his heritage and hometown. Continuing his tradition of dropping new songs on Haitian Flag Day, Jackboy shares “Spittin Facts,” his latest missive. A fierce statement of loyalty to his close friends and family, “Spittin Facts” finds the young rapper alternating aggression and emotion with soaring melodies and clipped cadences. Directed by Shula The Don, the “Spittin Facts” video opens with a brief snapshot of poverty and protest in Haiti, and continues into Jackboy’s South Florida apartment, where he raps in front of the Haitian flag. Bringing a celebratory spirit to quarantined Haitians forced to observe their holiday indoors, “Spittin Facts” is Jackboy’s first new song since the release of JACKBOY, his new project.

Marked by production from Tay Keith, Kid Hazel, Go Grizzly, TNTxD, and many others, JACKBOY reflects the artist’s wide-ranging tastes (he listens to Adele and Ed Sheeran more than he listens to any rapper), with instrumentals that range from the minimalist percussion-driven “Zombie World” to the East Asian tinge of “Freedom Of Speech“ to the hyperactive synth of “Hate The B!tch.” The project inspired a long list of successful video singles, including clips for “1K” (746k YouTube views since its release last week), “Pack A Punch” (1.2 million views), “Won’t Understand” (2.3 million views), “Cleaning Crew” (3.6 million views), and breakout hit “Pressure” (9.5 million views). Home to the Kodak Black-featuring “Like A Million,” JACKBOY is the artist’s most successful album yet, propelling the rapper to the Top 300 of Rolling Stone’s Artist chart and pushing his Spotify monthly listener count past 1.1 million.

Seamlessly combining hard-hitting lyrics and creative cadences, Jackboy is one of the most inventive songwriters on the trap music scene. Coming through with his most complete artistic statement to date, Jackboy shares JACKBOY, his new self-titled debut album. Brimming with the self-assurance that inspired the rapper, JACKBOY is a thrilling an unpredictable 17-track effort, incorporating organic instrumentation, infectious melody, and vocal acrobatics into a Southern rap milieu.

Marked by production from Tay Keith, Kid Hazel, Go Grizzly, TNTxD, and many others, JACKBOY reflects the artist’s wide-ranging tastes (he listens to Adele and Ed Sheeran more than he listens to any rapper), with instrumentals that range from the minimalist percussion-driven “Zombie World” to the East Asian tinge of “Freedom Of Speech“ to the hyperactive synth of “Hate The B!tch.” The new project showcases the 23-year-old rapper’s versatile vocals, which oscillate between clipped cadences and pained operatics at a moments notice.

Last week, the rapper shared “Pressure,” the album’s emotional and defiant opening track, and dropped “Like A Million,” the Tay Keith-produced collaboration with his close friend and Sniper Gang chieftain Kodak Black. Earlier this week, the 22-year-old rapper shared the DrewFilmedIt-directed video for guitar-heavy project highlight “Cleaning Crew,” which reached #3 on YouTube’s trending charts. Featuring appearances from an all-star lineup of guest rappers including Kodak, YFN Lucci, Casanova, Blac Youngsta, and Warhol.SS, JACKBOY is available everywhere via Sniper Gang/EMPIRE.

JACKBOY is the first project in a busy 2020 for the Pompano Beach, FL rapper. Last year, Jackboy released two projects, including the acclaimed Lost In My Head project, which dropped in September and included popular singles “Not A Clone” (5.3 million views) and the JetsonMade-produced “Bipolar” (3.5 million views). After building momentum with the release of “Freedom Of Speech” (1.1 million views), which is featured on the JACKBOY album, and collaborations with YFN Lucci and Louisiana rapper TEC, Jackboy recently earned a nomination from XXL for their Freshman 10th Spot.

All Floridda rapper Jackboy and TEC speak are big facts. The Pompano Beach native recently teamed up with Baton Rouge’s TEC for “For That,” a video single where the dynamic duo retreat to a safe house, dripped in diamonds in the company of dolled up baddies counting up their stacks. Moreover, the track sees the rappers trading bars about their come up and the importance of saving: the former rapping, “Now we in Givenchy, we were just shopping at Ross,” and the latter chiming in, “Coulda bought a Bentley, put that shit right in the vault.” Peep the video below.
