This one has a pretty dope backstory: Amsterdam “coffee” shop owner Jack The Plug connected with music engineer Sean D to create the compilation project Plug Talk, which features the many artists that have passed through his establishment. It’s a melding of both the US and UK/Europe, 13 tracks features appearances from YoungBoy Never Broke Again, Tory Lanez, Dappy, Roddy Ricch, Chip, Lil Baby, WSTRN, Gunna, 67 and loads more. They say in life that ‘Third times a Charm’ – well in Dory’s case she didn’t need to get to third base to prove that she’s a true CHARMER! as Finding Dory has grossed over $136.2 million in its first weekend opening, now that’s something to swim about.

Finding Dory is the sequel to Disney Pixar’s Finding Nemo which graced the box office in 2003 grossing over $70.3 million in its first weekend. Disney has definitely made a big comeback with the sequel as fans rallied in huge numbers to the movies to show their support.

According to Fox Business, Finding Dory (voiced by Ellen Degeneres) is a story about a forgetful fish whom sets off to reunite with her parents. Other actors include Albert Brooks whom played the Marlin in Finding Nemo, Diane Keaton and Idris Elba.

Finding Dory exceeded Disney Pixar’s last movie The Good Dinosaur which grossed $123 million in its total run.

Dave Hollis, Disney’s Executive Vice President of Distribution stated that Finding Dory attracted a more diverse mix of moviegoers than most of the other films Pixar has produced, mainly because it has been 13 years since Nemo hit the screen. Most kids that watched it during that time are now adults with children of their own. Whilst Finding Dory may be new to the younger generation, going to the movies, seeing that Nemo has gotten older and has transformed over the years into adulthood is something that adults can relate to.

Finding Dory will have one more weekend to continue to rack in good numbers as Disney Pixar’s The BFG (Big Friendly Giant) will hit the movie screens on July 1st while the cute feature The Secret Life of Pets will hit the screen on July 8th. And if those new additions will be anything like Dory, Disney Pixar will be swimming all the way to the bank.

The annual Met Gala is known to be a night of fashion and last night did not disappoint.  The big event is always star-studded and a night to remember.  From Rihanna‘s 2015 canary-yellow Guo Pei couture gown, that trended for days to Beyonce leaving everyone breathless with her 2015 all sheer Givenchy Haute couture by Riccardo Tisci that slayed for days.  This past Monday, May 2nd was no different; there was some of best to some of not so best fashion that hit the red carpet.  The fellas were out, the couples were out, and the ladies were definitely ready to get the night turned up with the year’s theme “Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology.  Check out some of the electrifying moments of the night:

Overall, the 2016 Met Gala was another successful year of fashion that will be talked about years to come!

Nicki Minaj had a huge year in 2015 and TIME Magazine flawlessly captured the essence of it with the release of their “Top 100 Influential People” list.

This year’s list, which was released today includes some of last years biggest stars including Nicki Minaj, Idris Elba, Taraji P. Henson, Ryan Coogler, Ta-Nehisi Coates, Ariana Grande and Kendrick Lamar among others.

It’s no surprise that Nicki Minaj graces the cover, with her reign in the music industry and the business world overall is unmatched. In the article penned by YMCMB leader Lil’ Wayne, Weezy credits Nicki for not only setting the bar high for women, but men as well.

“Her work ethic speaks volumes and has yielded these results,” Lil’ Wayne wrote. “The scary thing is she’s still going. Ha! Nicki Minaj will go down as one of the best to do it in the history of music.”

If you thought Nicki on the list was epic, TIME has also released the official covers for the “Top 100” issue, of which only six of the celebrities were chosen for the cover. This year’s selected covers include Nicki Minaj, Leonado DiCaprio, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Priscilla Chan and Mark Zuckerberg, Christine Lagarde and Priyanka Chopra.
