New Music: Ibn Inglor – “Damaged”

We caught a glimmer of hope on Ibn Inglor’s last single, but the Illinois rapper is right back in the belly of darkness on this latest release. Nick Acquroff of Sons et al assists Inglor over a scrambled, static-laden beat. “Damaged” will appear on Inglor’s forthcoming New Wave 2 mixtape.

New Video: Ibn Inglor – “Cold Storm”

The last thing you think about when you hear Ibn Inglor rap, “riding on a bike in a cold storm” is a burning hot, infrared video, but Inglor has a propensity for unconventional visuals. The TEHO Media-helmed video focuses on a tight shot of the Illinois rapper and not much else. It’s a weird, uneasy video, which matches up perfectly with the music. Watch below.

Ibn Inglor follows up “WAXXX” with a frantic, apocalyptic record titled “New Wave.” The self-produced song switches paces several times, ending with the feel of a dystopic aftermath as eerie as the single cover. The lyrics are also a call back to “Cold Storm,” a record Inglor dropped a couple of months back. Listen below.

New Music: Ibn Inglor – “WAXXX”

We got our first taste of Ibn Inglor’s upcoming New Wave project with “Cold Storm,” and now the Chicago rapper is back with a new cut, produced by E.N.O.N. Jacobs and PGMW. “WAXXX” follows up “Cold Storm” sonically, as well as lyrically. Inglor discusses his girlfriend leaving him as well as dropping out of school. It’s serious business.
