Houston dweller $hun drops off his second EP titled Will Rap 4 A Way Outta Here. Consisting of 12 tracks, the young lyricist flows over all legendary 9th Wonder-produced instrumentals from the producer’s Zion tape. Rapping over the unconventional beats, the tape finds $hun more relaxed than ever, tapping into the deepest depths of his creative confines. His bona fide narratives are flooded with substance atop the Southern-infused-meets-mellow-1970s-funk grooves. He’s not afraid to dish on his worldviews, tainted hues, and sweet-sounding love letters to his lady muse.

From mock hotline call-ins, to silky smooth inflections, his delivery styles swap between relaxed, pscyhadelic, distorted, and rapid conversational presentations. This project stamps $hun’s new journey off into a different change of pace and place.

After a March release of his debut mixtape The Rough Draft, Houston rapper, $hun, returns with his latest offering, “Smile In Ya Face.” Keeping up with his $hunDay installments, a new release every Monday, $hun keeps the momentum high with this old school-infused record. The song, which features a sample of The O’Jay’s hit “Back Stabbers,” serves as a message to those who “smile in your face.” $hun is speaking specifically those around him, the ones who are changing as he rises in fame. He only wants authenticity in his circle, and he’s sick and tired of those who weren’t real supporters from the start.
