On Tuesday, October 14, Uncle Snoop will host the BET Network’s 2014 Hip Hop Awards show at 8 p.m. EST. The “biggest night in Hip Hop” will kick-off with performances by T.I., Bobby Shmurda, and Ty Dolla Sign.

Each year, the Hip Hop Awards pay homage to the genre that changed culture forever. BET delivers hip-hop performances for the books, and makes tributes to those in the industry that continue to make hip-hop one of the driving forces of global cultural change.

As usual, Common brings social responsibility to the stage and the hip-hop community overall, reminding us that hip-hop can be a voice for the voiceless, a name for the nameless, and a beacon of hope in rough times.  Other performances slated for the evening include Birdman, DJ Premier, DJ Mustard, Rich Homie Quan, Young Thug, Vince Staples, Jay Electronica, Migos, YG, Rae Sremmurd, Yo Yo, MC Lyte, and Brandy. For the first time, someone will perform a live cypher on stage—audiences will just have to stay tuned to find out who that will be.

It’s almost that time of year again, where rap aficionados gather ’round and watch heavyweight lyricists spit gems on national television. The highly-anticipated lineup for this year’s BET Hip-Hop Awards has been revealed for the people.

It’s been a tradition to see posse cyphers in past award shows (i.e Shady Records and TDE). This year, we have none other than Wiz Khalifa‘s Taylor Gang crew (composed of Juicy J, Ty Dolla $ign, Tuki Carter, Berner, and Chevy Woods) taking center stage. Recently released from prison, Remy Ma will also be making an appearance in the cypher amongst her fellow female rhyme-spitters Lil Mama, Snow Tha Product, and Dreezy.

Other cypher participants lined up include Papoose, G-Eazy,  Troy Ave, Kevin Gates, David Banner, Logic, Genesis, Vic Mensa, Loaded Lux, Dee-1, Detroit Che, DJ Scratch, Treach, King Los, Corey Charron, T-Rex, Rain 910, Tsu Surf, Goodz, Dillon Cooper, Two-9, Andy Mineo, Jarren Benton, Emilio Rojas, and Conceited.

Snoop Dogg will be hosting the show once again this year. Expect performances from T.I, Common, Rich Homie Quan, and more. Doug E. Fresh will be presented with the “I Am Hip-Hop Icon” award this year. You can check out the nominees for each category here.
