Paypaman is back with a refined sound that describes the culture of Chicago “Ballin or Politickin.” Produced by Xcel Beats, Paypaman uses this simply track to spit lyrical metaphors, comparing himself to Chris Paul, Kyrie Irving. Putting himself in boss status, Paypaman describes not only his ability as an artist but his lifestyle. Campaigning to be the best out of the Chi, Paypaman brings a unique edge to music that has been missing in Chicago hip hop.

Wow, Donald Trump is really about to become our president for the next four years. Leadership is such a powerful word that gets thrown around a lot, but it genuinely has meaning. In the NBA, Gregg Popovich is a leader, he walks the walk, talks the talk and isn’t afraid to be ridiculed. He’s been outspoken since Donald Trump was elected president in November.

When asked about Trump, Popovich said that the entire Trump campaign scares him, and that he’s so disgusted that so many Americans voted for Trump. “I’m a rich white guy, and I’m sick to my stomach thinking about it,” he said.

He’s honest.

The next coach of USA’s men’s national basketball keeps it simple. In a world where many folks idolize celebrities Popovich believes that community leaders and parents should be lauded as role models. “I try not to idolize too many people,” Popovich told me.”I think that all idols have feet of clay and I think that especially in our country, we tend to mythologize people.

“At the top of my head, Thomas Jefferson was a great guy; he was a slave owner. You can make that similar analogy with a lot of other people who have been idolized. They all have flaws. So I go for people that I know.”

Pop guided the greats: Tim Duncan, Avery Johnson and David to NBA championships. But what’s cool is that he recognizes the community, parents and others for his values that he’s learned.

“I look to people that I’ve known personally, whether that’s a coach or teacher, a relative; somebody that I respect because I know them. But people who I don’t know that have been mythologized, I don’t know them much.”

Since Donald Trump has now been elected the next President of the United States; the policies, rules and regulations that he declared to do within his two year campaign is now coming to a drastic halt. One of Trump’s mantra’s in his campaign was garnered at “Locking Clinton Up” for her part in the use of a private email server during her time as Secretary of State.

According to media site The Daily Beast, Trump’s campaign manager and senior transition adviser Kellyanne Conway told MSNBC’s Morning Joe:

“When the president-elect, who’s also the head of your party now, tells you even before he’s inaugurated that he doesn’t wish to pursue these charges, it sends a very strong message, tone, and content to the members.”

Kellyanne stated that this new change in Trump could actually “heal” Hillary Clinton‘s image of being untrustworthy and dishonest. Trumps decision has not set well with everyone as his supporters has taken to social media to express their concerns.

https://twitter.com/HENDEEF67/status/801069640478846976

@KellyannePolls @realDonaldTrump

We thought NOBODY was above the law! YOU TOLD US THAT!

Dropping Clinton investigation is BULLSHIT!!!

— Wool Chuckerly (@TaveresQuixote) November 22, 2016

Per Conway, Trump is “thinking of many different things as he prepares to become the president of the United States, and things that sound like the campaign are not among them.” As the months go on and January 2017 nears, it looks like Trump may be backing down on many other “promises” he made during his campaign. I guess we’ll have to wait and see what type of President Trump will actually be as it looks like he’s not turning out to be the man his campaigners voted for.

Yet, there’s a lot to de-clutter and plethora of pine needles to be vacuumed. Anything with Hillary Rodham-Clinton and Donald J. Trump’s name next to it was must see TV and viral ready for internet users consuming content like a Pacman arcade game.

Wikileaks, tax returns, locker room talk, ‘bad hombres’ and ‘grabbing women by the ‘pu**y’ are lexicons forever aligned into the minds of both young and old.

America’s fascination with the 2016 Presidential election campaign is reminiscent of the O.J. Simpson case. Although two human beings were murdered in a trial that Simpson was acquitted for, issues of race, wealth, conflict, slander, larger than life personalities and a nation divided on who was right and who was wrong were similar themes in the 2016 Presidential Race.

How the heck do we explain this to our kids?

“People don’t know what to do at this point,” New York Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony told ESPN’s Ian Begley and Adry Torres. “So I think it’s up to us as individuals to kind of just take that responsibility and lead, everybody got to lead in their own way. We can’t rely on a system or one person. We got to move on from that.”

The entry point for the O.J. Simpson case began June 17, 1994 on Los Angeles’ 405 freeway. A 90-minute slow car speed chase with Simpson and his friend, Al Cowlings stopped everybody’s flow on a Friday night watching the NBA on NBC’s game 5 of the 1994 NBA Finals between the Houston Rockets and the New York Knicks.

Craziest part of it all?

While the Rockets’ Hakeem Olajuwon led all scorers with 27 points and 8 rebounds in an eventual 91-84 game 5 loss to the Knicks at Madison Square Garden, his Rockets teammates were keenly aware of the chase. Apparenty, during timeouts, players were watching the Ford Bronco/LAPD chase on television’s sitting on the scorer’s table. “I go in the huddle, I’m like, “O.J.’s on the run,” TNT’s Inside The NBA analyst Kenny ‘The Jet’ Smith told me.

Smith was a member of the Rockets at the time and recalls vividly how it all went down.

Head coach Rudy Tomjanovich comes into the huddle and yells: “What are you guys doing?”

“O.J.’s on the run,” Smith yelled.

“What are you doing? We’re in the middle of the NBA Finals,” Tomjanovic yelled back.

According to Smith, Tomjanovic drew up a play and as players were walking back on the court after the timeout, Tomjanovic pulls Smith to the side and asks, “Is he really on the run?”

“Where I’m from, when you run, you did it,” said Smith. “When you first hear it, you’re like, ‘why would he do it?’ It’s O.J. Simpson. In your mind you’re thinking, he’s got so many things to lose.”

Simpson’s defense attorney F. Lee Bailey predicted that his client would be found not guilty, to the chagrin of many. “I forecasted to anyone who would listen,” Bailey told me in an interview this summer. “And many of them snickered at me, but sure enough when the verdict came in they are not the kind of people that would say I was wrong, they said the jury was wrong, they were racist. They were prejudice. It was a sad display of American culture trying to defend its wrongheadedness.”

Fast forward to 2016, these same conversations are still going on, just now in an America that’s allegedly post-racial. “I don’t think there is any room to not face the obvious truth,” Golden State Warriors forward David West said last week. “[Donald Trump] speaks for the majority of the people in this nation. His attitudes about black people, about Muslim people, about women, about just about every sort of political group you could name, folks agree with his positions and you can’t deny that because folks voted for him.”

“This whole fairy tale about some post racial, post, this utopia that Obama supposedly created is all bull,” he added. “That’s the bottom line when you look at what the results say from last night this nation has not moved a thread in terms of its ideals.”

Clinton and Trump can’t undo the mudslinging and cattiness brought to debates and through media sound bites during their campaign. What’s done is done. However, conversation is at least a starting point. Last week, President Barack Obama and President-elect Donald Trump met at the White House as the two held a transfer of political power meeting. Their wives also toured the White House. For years, Trump claimed that Obama was an immigrant, did not have a legal birth certificate and was the founder of ISIS and throughout Obama’s campaigning for Hillary Clinton, Obama expressed Trumps lack of adequacy in running a country.

In WWE fashion, the two turned-heel. President Obama expressed unity. “My number 1 priority in the next two months is to try to facilitate a transition that ensures our President-elect is successful,” Obama said.

Trump called Obama a “very good man” and stated that he would seek President Obama’s counsel in the future.

Where do we go from here?

A good start is comic relief while telling some truths. Dave Chappelle took care of that on SNL on Saturday. USA Today put it best when they said: After the electoral college answered the call to “Make America Great Again,” the country was hard pressed to find anyone willing or able to make America laugh again. Comedian Dave Chappelle hosted SNL to do just that.

The next four years in this country will be interesting. The always thoughtful and poised Ernie Johnson from TNT’s Inside The NBA threaded the needle like Magic Johnson in his prime when he expressed his displeasure with both presidential candidates. Johnson noted that he wrote in his vote for the first time in his voting history and expressed that he was optimistic. “I just hope he’s all in fixing the wounds in this country and the divides that separate this country,” he said.

“And I want to be part of that too. And for me to part of it, I have to look in the mirror and say, ‘How am I going to be a better man? How am I going to be a better neighbor? How am I going to be a better citizen? How am I going to be a better American? How can I be a fountain and not a drain?’”

At any moment now, Hillary Clinton is expected to take to the above podium at the New Yorker Hotel’s Grand Ballroom to deliver her concession speech. It will be the first time that Clinton speaks out following her loss to Donald Trump.

Many thought that she would have gone public immediately after last night’s presidential election; instead, it was her campaign manager John Podesta that addressed the crestfallen Javits Center crowd sometime after 2am:

Well folks, I know we’ve been here a long time and I know it’s been a long night and I know it’s been a long campaign. But I know we can wait a little longer… We will have more to say tomorrow.

As far as Trump, he did praise Clinton in his victory speech, even stating that the former Secretary of State called and congratulated him on his win. It was also later revealed that President Barack Obama invited him to the White House this Thursday to begin transition preparations.

During this often times surreal election process, multiple celebrities have spoken in support of or against both of the presidential candidates. This trend continues with what happened this weekend at a concert by Jennifer Lopez and ex Marc Anthony in support of Hillary Clinton.

The concert was held at Biscayne Park, where Lopez said that this election “is one of the most important in our lifetime” to devoted fans who braved the poor weather to attend the concert.

“Florida, home to one of my favorite cities, Miami, and millions of Latinos is a pivotal state in this election. It’s time to unify, support and vote for the only choice that makes sense not only for women or for Latinos, but for all Americans.”

Clinton herself made an appearance near the end of the concert to rally support before voting ends in just over a week. The presidential candidate made her own push as to why people should voter for her over opponent Donald Trump.

“It might be a little easy to forget with all the fun and excitement and joy that you saw up on the stage today, Donald Trump is out there stoking fear, disgracing our democracy and insulting one group of Americans after another. Well let me ask you this: Are we going to let Donald Trump get away with that?”

As of Saturday night, 3.3 million people have already voted in Florida, according to USA Today. Hopefully the concert encourages even more people to go out and vote during this “most important election”.

After Donald Trump’s comments during the final presidential debate on Wednesday, his son Eric Trump clarifies what he thinks his father meant about the future election results, reports NBC.

In response to the question asked on debate night on if he would accept the results of the election if it turned out that he lost to Hillary Clinton, Trump would only say that that he would decide at the time, and would keep America in “suspense”. Clinton’s response included the entirely correct observation that his words were “horrifying”, and was the response felt by many. The United States has had enjoyed one of, if not the, longest runs of peaceful transitions of power. When Trump does not give a direct answer on if he will accept the results of the election, it results in an apprehension for some that we may not have the peaceful transition that we have come to expect.

The younger Trump stated in an interview with ABC’s “This Week” his own interpretations of what his father meant:

“I think what my father is saying is ‘I want a fair election’. If it’s a fair outcome he will absolutely accept it, there’s no question about it.”

This was stated among his, his father’s, and some of his father’s followers’ own beliefs that the only way that Clinton could win is through a rigged election. Allegations that Clinton, or at least the Democratic party, is behind the women coming forward with claims of sexual assault against Trump have been brought forward by Trump himself, and that the “mainstream media” has a bias against him. Evidence for both accusations have not been revealed.

With election day on November 8, there isn’t a lot of time before the results will be in and the country will see how each presidential candidate will react to the results. Eric Trump says about his father that, “He’ll fight for this country and he’ll always fight for himself and he believes in a right and a wrong.”
