My then child-like brain became jam packed with rational, concrete ideas as well as knowledge. I locked myself in a room and spent every minute of the day soaking up information like a sponge. My issue was how can I put it all together. I kept over thinking until I couldn’t write anything on paper. I really started to feel like my true uninhibited creativity was squashed into a box but yet I knew so much. Anyways I’ve finally came over to the other side of the mountain by realizing the best way for me to do this is to not ‘try’ to give you the best but give you the best version of myself, and that’s what I intend to do starting with this record here. I give you my first official record of 2015 “Big Baby Jesus 2 (The Dirty Version)” I didn’t leave the house or rarely talk to anyone until it was done, and YES IT IS ALL ONE SONG. Thanks for even reading this long ass shit. Love you for that my nigga Let’s get to it.”

If there’s anything to be said about the record, it’s that this is a clear indicator of the ability King Critical possesses as an all-around artist. Madwiz has been appeared to be a bit dormant on the Youtube sphere if you haven’t been to any of his recent shows but he’s back with vengeance with the premiere of his newest visual, “Dramatic“. The brand new video, directed/edited by Brooklyn based director AiP and ChimP, showcases the MC in his Clinton Hill home spittin’ from the heart aggressively and passionately, perfectly in sync with the vibe of the visual. The record itself boasts a high level of lyricism mixed with personality, bouncing over the upbeat instrumental that eventually soothes itself into the nostalgic NY sound in the second half. We caught up with Madwiz to express why he believes this video should be watched and his answer was, well, short and straight to the point:

This shit right here is the return of rap from the heart, to the heart. Just to show that Brooklyn is still the Mecca of this whole genre.

Representing the NY collective Mogul Club, Madwiz makes sure to jam pack every aesthetic necessary in an upcoming Brooklyn MC. The clip also shows Wiz performing the record live while headlining at venues such as SOB’s and Palisades. This record will also appear on his upcoming project “Madwizdom” that has no official release date but can be expected this year. Off his highly acclaimed project that’s been making a lot of noise in New York, “Gods x Pimps,” (available for download here) History is back dropping the anticipated video for “EVIL!“. Featuring a stand-out verse from his fellow Mogul Club member, King Critical, the duo put together an impactful and extremely emotionally-driven lyrics over the thundering of the instrumental.
Produced by H. Illa (the alternate producer name History goes by), the extreme energy is filled with subject matter commenting on subjects such as negative cycles within their Brooklyn hoods, questioning true faith in religion, scandalous women, and overall staking claim of their place in Hip Hop while boasting their lyrical prowess.

The video was directed was also shot and edited by J-Emz, another up-and-coming New York based director that his been making a name for himself lately. This is what History had to say about the initial creation of the record:

Creating the record I didn’t care about anything and hated everything going on at that time in life so the only thing that could sum up the way I felt was saying “That’s Evil!”, everything followed after that. I felt like King Critical was the only person that could make the song better than it actually was so I put him on the song. Even though he didn’t want to hop on it at first, I convinced him that the beat and song was ahead of it time and he ended up doing the verse anyway and now we have a quote on quote hit.
