Gio Dee has a good ear and has worked with like-minded people. He has previously worked with Quentin Miller. Miller is notable as “Drake’s ghostwriter.” The two dropped many songs together, like “The Ride,” “Sodium,” and “All Before” which climbed to #3 on Audiomack’s Top Trending Songs list the same exact day it premiered. No stranger to the game, his music keeps progressing.

His first notable song is called Mind Yo Business, and it was used in a viral Vine video made by viral Vine star, and artist Jerry Purpdrank.

Gio Dee has a good ear and has worked with like-minded people. He’d been working with Quentin Miller long before Miller was notable as “Drake’s ghostwriter.” The two dropped many songs together, like “The Ride,” “Sodium,” and “All Before” which climbed to #3 on Audiomack’s Top Trending Songs list the same exact day it premiered. No stranger to the game, his music keeps progressing.

Having dropped their most recent project Family Cookout, which was released back in late 2017, the SuperSmashBroz have been doing nothing more than just grinding and moving forward with their artistry. For their latest, they release new visuals for “U Thought,” accompanied alongside with Gio Dee and Polo $ummers, who add a different flavor in your ear with this record.

Known for making nothing less than great records, it’s almost impossible to think of Boston and counting them out. SmashBroz are known for getting the vibes right (and getting you on/off your feet) and “U Thought” is clearly another banger. The record is complimented by a very jiggy instrumental, which allows Gio and $ummers to do what they do best. Hoping that their passion for barbering would never come in the way of them becoming artists, the response from Gio’s clientele is enough evidence that neither one are cut out for giving out fades.

Boston is on the map once again. Native emcee Gio Dee dropped a new dope visual for ‘Man Of Your Word‘. As stated, the video is dope and the rising Bostonian is someone who you should keep an eye out for. Be on the lookout for his ‘Never Going Back‘ EP dropping shortly!

The hip-hop scene in Boston is at an all time high. Along with artists like Michael Christmas, Cousin Stizz, Latrell James, Millyz, Avenue, and Dutch Rebelle, Gio Dee is part of a youth movement that is bringing national attention to a city that is known more for its sports than anything else. The Chef Boyz frontman makes his latest contribution with the long-awaited TOTB: The 2nd Coming. The follow-up to his well-received 2012 mixtape TOTB suffered several delays over the course of its roll out and missed its original 2014 release date.
Now with the full body of work available, it’s clear that the rising rapper made good use of the extra time as he delivers his best project to date. It’s a step up from his previous works and a strong example of the growth that can happen for an artist in between projects. Featuring 16 tracks, Gio packs the tape with melodic anthems like “Right Now,” “Wit Me,” “Celebrity,” “Mind Yo Business,” and“For The LOE.” These type of tracks have been the core of his musical output and have become known as his signature sound. However, he isn’t limited to making commercial appealing, catchy tracks. On the latter half of the tape, he displays his breadth with “Soundtrack Of My Life (G-Sh*t),” “Come Clean,” and “Legacy.” These introspective cuts aren’t necessary new to Gio fans. Similar content can be heard on Fashionably Late EP, but these in particular are the best we have seen him at when it comes to letting the listener into his life. The combination of these result in a concise and strong collection of music that will accelerate his trajectory in 2015 and beyond.
Helping Gio are solid guest appearances from K00L John, Quentin Miller, and Millyz, and a diverse cast of producers led by David Greene, TrapMoneyBenny, CMPLX, Izzy The Kidd, Freeze On The Track, and Humbeats. Plus DJ Holiday plays host and adds energetic commentary.
