<p>This may be the closest you get to a ride through Sacramento streets without actually visiting, while Chuuwee displays solid story telling and situational endeavors over JR &amp; PH7’s convincing soundscapes. Aside the locational execution, relatable subjects were addressed – growing up, family ties, relationships and the power of a dollar. The features are tasteful, but don’t overwhelm the lp, with help from the wests own <strong>Blu</strong>, <strong>St3wart KooL</strong>, <strong>Bueno</strong> and <strong>Sean LaMarr</strong>. The record is an solid release for 2015, as there is still a lot of phony “hip-hop” being released. For those who&#8217;ve been trailing our posts at <strong>RESPECT. Mag</strong> leading up to this release we know you&#8217;ve been waiting for this. Just getting on board? It&#8217;s all good. Let&#8217;s briefly take a look at the album and walk through the details together before you tune in to this jewel.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">If you&#8217;ve been living in the dark, German production duo JR &amp; PH7 are two beat smiths who have an extensive resume and an acclaimed reputation on the hip-hop scene. This is not the first go-around for a collaboration with Sacramento&#8217;s Chuuwee, but the first full length effort and certainly their most crafted, complete body of work. There&#8217;s no denying that the three of them have ridiculous amounts of chemistry.</p>

<p style="text-align: left;">This may be the closest you get to a ride through Sacramento streets without actually visiting, while Chuuwee displays solid story telling and situational endeavors over JR &amp; PH7&#8217;s convincing soundscapes. Aside the locational execution, relatable subjects were addressed &#8211; growing up, family ties, relationships and the power of a dollar. The features are tasteful, but don&#8217;t overwhelm the lp, with help from the wests own <strong>Blu</strong>, <strong>St3wart KooL</strong>, <strong>Bueno</strong> and <strong>Sean LaMarr</strong>. In total the record is an amazing release for 2015, as there is still a lot of phony &#8220;hip-hop&#8221; being released. This is one for your collection, so be sure to grab the <a title="The South Sac Mac Digital Copy (iTunes)" href="https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/the-south-sac-mack/id967018521">digital copy</a>, <a title="The South Sac Mac Physical Copy" href="http://www.belowsystem.com/jr-ph7-x-chuuwee-the-south-sac-mack-cd/">physical copy</a>, or your <a title="2LP Purchase" href="http://www.belowsystem.com/jr-ph7-x-chuuwee-the-south-sac-mack-lp/">2LP vinyl version</a> in a few weeks. &#8220;</em>Meanwhile off Mack<em>&#8220;</em> is the debut single from <strong>JR &amp; PH7</strong> X <strong>Chuuwee&#8217;s</strong> collaborative full length release, <em>T<strong>he South Sac Mack</strong></em>, which is set to drop early 2015, via <strong>Below System Record</strong>s. JR &amp; PH7 are a production duo from Germany who have worked with some of your favorite Hip-Hop artists, including <strong>Skyzoo, Sean Price, Black Milk, Torae, Phonte,</strong> and <strong>Kev Brown </strong>to name a few. The pair offers a breath of fresh air as far as hope in real Hip-Hop is concerned, and their work is beyond worthy of checking out if you are unfamiliar.</p>
<p>Chuuwee is a young, energetic emcee hailing from the streets of Sacramento. He is an up-and-coming artist to keep an eye on as his lane continues to expand and he grows both individually and with Below System Records. Check out the ill visuals provided by Max Gudczinski and Ingo Leffin below:</p>

<p>The mastermind behind the iconic <strong>Obey Giant</strong> is back at it again. <strong>Shepard Fairey </strong>has spent the last few days curating a piece for the residents in Berlin, Germany, courtesy of <strong>Urban Nation</strong>. His newest piece titled, &#8220;Make Art, Not War,&#8221; tells viewers to put their arms down and pick up a brush.</p>
<p><a href="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/shepard-fairey-3.png"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" data-attachment-id="81088" data-permalink="https://respect-mag.com/2014/09/shepard-fairey-asks-that-we-put-our-arms-down-pick-up-a-brush/shepard-fairey-3/" data-orig-file="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/shepard-fairey-3.png?fit=640%2C640&amp;ssl=1" data-orig-size="640,640" data-comments-opened="1" data-image-meta="{&quot;aperture&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;credit&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;camera&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;caption&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;created_timestamp&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;copyright&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;focal_length&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;iso&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;shutter_speed&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;title&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;orientation&quot;:&quot;0&quot;}" data-image-title="shepard fairey 3" data-image-description="" data-image-caption="" data-medium-file="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/shepard-fairey-3.png?fit=640%2C640&amp;ssl=1" data-large-file="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/shepard-fairey-3.png?fit=640%2C640&amp;ssl=1" class="size-full wp-image-81088 aligncenter" src="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/shepard-fairey-3.png?resize=640%2C640" alt="shepard fairey 3" width="640" height="640" data-recalc-dims="1" /></a></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>For the One Wall project Fairey used bold lines and colors reminiscent of <a href="http://37.media.tumblr.com/02ab402f7a2f58a178c93fe555bac672/tumblr_mlaknq4ash1qgvzl4o1_500.jpg" target="_blank">communist propaganda art</a>. By applying red and black  to a large wall, the artist creates an abrasive contrast between his color palette and his message of peace.</p>
<p><a href="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/shepard-fairey-4.jpg"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" data-attachment-id="81089" data-permalink="https://respect-mag.com/2014/09/shepard-fairey-asks-that-we-put-our-arms-down-pick-up-a-brush/shepard-fairey-4/" data-orig-file="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/shepard-fairey-4.jpg?fit=640%2C640&amp;ssl=1" data-orig-size="640,640" data-comments-opened="1" data-image-meta="{&quot;aperture&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;credit&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;camera&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;caption&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;created_timestamp&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;copyright&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;focal_length&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;iso&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;shutter_speed&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;title&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;orientation&quot;:&quot;0&quot;}" data-image-title="shepard fairey 4" data-image-description="" data-image-caption="" data-medium-file="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/shepard-fairey-4.jpg?fit=640%2C640&amp;ssl=1" data-large-file="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/shepard-fairey-4.jpg?fit=640%2C640&amp;ssl=1" class="size-full wp-image-81089 aligncenter" src="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/shepard-fairey-4.jpg?resize=640%2C640" alt="shepard fairey 4" width="640" height="640" data-recalc-dims="1" /></a></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>It&#8217;s been 24 years since the destruction of the <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Berlin_Wall">Berlin Wall, </a>having this piece by Fairey up there is particularly strong in symbolism.</p>

<p>Following their performance at the German hip-hop and reggae Splash! Festival earlier this summer, <strong>The Underachievers</strong>, <strong>Issa</strong> and <strong>AK</strong>, sat down with Ben Maechler of urban lifestyle magazine Splash! Mag. They discussed topics ranging from the duo&#8217;s love of indie and alternative rock, the indigo theory, <strong>Jay Z</strong>&#8216;s phenomenal crowd control, as well as possible collaborations with <strong>Flying</strong> <strong>Lotus</strong>, <strong>Lunice</strong>, and <strong>Statik</strong> <strong>Selektah</strong> for their upcoming album on FlyLo&#8217;s <strong>Brainfeeder</strong> label. Issa and AK also address comparisons between the Beast Coast movement and the Native Tongues collective, the importance of visuals to draw the attention of fans, and spiritual and intellectual advancement in the internet age, resulting in an interview which exemplifies the self-awareness that The Underachievers communicate through their music.</p>

<p style="text-align: left;"><a href="http://respect-mag.com/street-art-never2501s-dynamic-murals/"><strong>2501</strong></a> painted this mural in <strong>Los Angeles, USA. </strong>The Italian artist used his signature monochromatic lines combined with gold to create an abstract illusion of depth. <p>This week in the international-street-art-sphere portraiture was the method of choice. Just for you, we&#8217;ve compiled the portraits that we found to be most striking. View them below.</p>
<p><strong><a href="http://respect-mag.com/street-art-aryz-is-back-for-the-galore-festival-2012/">Aryz</a></strong> (above) worked on a collaboration with <strong><a href="http://davidchoeama.com/" target="_blank">David Choe</a></strong> in <strong>L.A.</strong> You can clearly distinguish the American&#8217;s artist surrealistic style colliding with the <strong>Aryz</strong>&#8216;s creepy world.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://respect-mag.com/?attachment_id=60376" rel="attachment wp-att-60376"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" data-attachment-id="60376" data-permalink="https://respect-mag.com/2013/05/street-art-best-of-the-week-the-art-of-portraiture/streetartnews_invader_london_star_wars-3/" data-orig-file="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/streetartnews_invader_london_star_wars-3.jpg?fit=640%2C428&amp;ssl=1" data-orig-size="640,428" data-comments-opened="1" data-image-meta="{&quot;aperture&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;credit&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;camera&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;caption&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;created_timestamp&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;copyright&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;focal_length&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;iso&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;shutter_speed&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;title&quot;:&quot;&quot;}" data-image-title="INVADER STARWARS " data-image-description="" data-image-caption="" data-medium-file="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/streetartnews_invader_london_star_wars-3.jpg?fit=640%2C428&amp;ssl=1" data-large-file="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/streetartnews_invader_london_star_wars-3.jpg?fit=640%2C428&amp;ssl=1" class="size-full wp-image-60376 aligncenter" alt="INVADER STARWARS " src="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/streetartnews_invader_london_star_wars-3.jpg?resize=640%2C428" width="640" height="428" data-recalc-dims="1" /></a><strong><em>Invader</em></strong></p>
<p>Last time we heard from <a href="http://respect-mag.com/street-art-spiderman-invades-the-heart-of-paris/"><strong>Invader</strong></a> he was pasting a mosaic of Spider-man onto the Parisian landscape. The French artist now dropped a new work in <strong>London</strong> depicting another hero, <strong>Luke Skywalker, </strong>chilling out with his father, <strong>Darth Vader</strong>.</p>
<p><a href="http://respect-mag.com/?attachment_id=60380" rel="attachment wp-att-60380"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" data-attachment-id="60380" data-permalink="https://respect-mag.com/2013/05/street-art-best-of-the-week-the-art-of-portraiture/streetartnews_benslow_mearone_sanfrancisco-jpg3/" data-orig-file="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/streetartnews_benslow_mearone_sanfrancisco.jpg3_.jpg?fit=640%2C255&amp;ssl=1" data-orig-size="640,255" data-comments-opened="1" data-image-meta="{&quot;aperture&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;credit&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;camera&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;caption&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;created_timestamp&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;copyright&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;focal_length&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;iso&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;shutter_speed&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;title&quot;:&quot;&quot;}" data-image-title="benslowmearone" data-image-description="" data-image-caption="" data-medium-file="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/streetartnews_benslow_mearone_sanfrancisco.jpg3_.jpg?fit=640%2C255&amp;ssl=1" data-large-file="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/streetartnews_benslow_mearone_sanfrancisco.jpg3_.jpg?fit=640%2C255&amp;ssl=1" class="size-full wp-image-60380 aligncenter" alt="benslowmearone" src="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/streetartnews_benslow_mearone_sanfrancisco.jpg3_.jpg?resize=640%2C255" width="640" height="255" data-recalc-dims="1" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><strong><em>Ben Slow &amp; Mear One</em></strong></p>
<p><strong><a href="http://www.slowbenart.com/" target="_blank">Ben Slow</a> </strong>and <a href="http://www.mearone.com/" target="_blank"><strong>Mear One</strong> </a>worked on a politically charged collaboration for the streets of <strong>San Francisco</strong>. The two street artists portrayed Margaret Thatcher and Ronald Reagan in a light that acknowledges their shadier dealings.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://respect-mag.com/?attachment_id=60382" rel="attachment wp-att-60382"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" data-attachment-id="60382" data-permalink="https://respect-mag.com/2013/05/street-art-best-of-the-week-the-art-of-portraiture/streetartnews_jacktml_germany-1/" data-orig-file="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/streetartnews_jacktml_germany-1.jpg?fit=640%2C425&amp;ssl=1" data-orig-size="640,425" data-comments-opened="1" data-image-meta="{&quot;aperture&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;credit&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;camera&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;caption&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;created_timestamp&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;copyright&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;focal_length&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;iso&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;shutter_speed&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;title&quot;:&quot;&quot;}" data-image-title="_jacktml_" data-image-description="" data-image-caption="" data-medium-file="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/streetartnews_jacktml_germany-1.jpg?fit=640%2C425&amp;ssl=1" data-large-file="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/streetartnews_jacktml_germany-1.jpg?fit=640%2C425&amp;ssl=1" class="size-full wp-image-60382 aligncenter" alt="_jacktml_" src="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/streetartnews_jacktml_germany-1.jpg?resize=640%2C425" width="640" height="425" data-recalc-dims="1" /></a><strong><em>Jack TML</em></strong></p>
<p>The incredible Israeli artist <a href="http://respect-mag.com/street-art-jack-tmls-characters-floating-in-the-meaningless/"><strong>Jack TML</strong></a> was recently in <strong>Germany</strong> to paint an indoor piece somewhere in <strong>Munich</strong>. His figurative work is charged with feelings of distance and proximity.</p>

<p><strong>Aryz</strong>, prior to his collaboration with <strong>David Choe,</strong> worked on a gigantic mural in <strong>San Francisco</strong>. The Barcelona-based artist worked on merging the insides and outsides of his female character using his signature color pallet.</p>

<p><a href="http://respect-mag.com/street-art-stik-beauty-is-in-movement/"><strong>Stik</strong></a> is currently honoring the <a href="http://www.chicagoevents.com/event.cfm?eid=141">Chichester Street Art Festival</a>  alongside <a href="http://respect-mag.com/street-art-phlegm-run-the-art-of-balance/"><strong>Run &amp; Phlegm. </strong></a>Working with his minimalistic stick figures, the British artist produces a piece that creates movement through subtlety.</p>
