R&B musician, Gaitán from the Bay Area in California releases his new song “Making Sense” today. The song is produced by himself and Ian McKee.

Gaitán Gonzales from Burlingame, California is still fairly new in his solo career, and is determined to make his own sound in this time where music is at its peak of creativity. He started working towards his passion for music at the early age of 11, joining different bands to get important experience. His father was also a musician, though for Rock rather than R&B. Gaitán dabbled in alternative rock before exploring more R&B thanks to the influence of the musician of the Bay. With the examples of Eminem, Dr. Dre, and others, many artists have all contributed to Gaitán finding his own style. Some of his work can be found in fellow Bay Area musician Cash Campaign’s latest collective release Michael in ‘79.

His newest song, “Making Sense” is a beautiful work about some real experiences:

“I met this girl… And unintentionally, we connected. We went through some life-threatening shit. Real ass emotions formed… And I wrote this. Still figuring out what we were, this was where I was at during that time. Completely visceral. Completely vulnerable. The music shows. I hope you all enjoy. I hope some even relate.”

As music with a “strong melody and an honest feel” is something that has always struck Gaitán, his own song is a credit to his opinion. His many influences mix into the music to create his unique sound in an emotional and relatable track.
