The Youngstown, Ohio titan, G.Huff, and the Raleigh, North Carolina wolf, Lena Jackson, come together as a male and female duo, delivering Midwest grit and Southern soul on their latest collaborative effort titled Grace And Alchemy, along with a dope new visual for their new joint”Laila Ali, Mike Tyson“

The project provides duality from a male and female perspective. Two vastly different artists with impeccable chemistry, Huff and Lena trade bars for 7 songs with production provided by Chicago super producer Ill Brown, and Youngstown, Ohio beatsmith Da Bopman, leaving no stone unturned.

“This project was originally going to be a solo effort with Ill Brown doing the production, says G. Huff. I had a song with Lena in mind; but the more I thought about it, the more I felt like maybe we should just do the whole thing together.”

After the critically acclaimed solo effort, Darkness Brim, by Lena Jackson, she wanted to challenge herself by combining worlds with G.Huff, and creating something that would prove women are to be viewed as equals with their male counterparts. “The more I created for this project, the less it became about men/women comparisons,” Lena reveals. “It really became about aligning our respective talents and being dope on all counts, regardless of gender.”

The 7 song EP finds G.Huff being the only male performer throughout the project with features from Ida Divine, Maestra and 3D Na’Tee.

Ohio emcee, G-Huff is back with another heavy hitting banger, appropriately titled “Rakim Meets The DOC”.

Everyone in the music business knows, when you stop once, it means you start over, but one rappers do-over, is another rapper’s fresh start. That’s the side of the line G-Huff is claiming. After seeing success and recognition with his original crew, the Youngstown talker has decided the time was right, to step out on his own and make his own way. From the sounds of his debut single, “Rakim Meets The D.O.C” ,prod by Da Bopman, Huff is going to be good on his +G Ish for quite some time!

Ohio emcee/producer Vice Souletric rounds up Talib Kweli, G. Huff and Will Blaze to collaboratively paint his own production credit – 4+ minutes of blunt honesty. Shouldn’t all hip-hop be honest anyway? What’s offered here just happens to be a bit more necessary in 2016, while living in one of the craziest, most selfish time periods surrounded by injustice and assassination. “Return of the Black Man” is a shot of hope for any black man struggling right now and experiencing any drop of mistreatment, all the while offering a crash course on being a black male in America from first hand experiences for those still blind.

Though music is only one of many mediums to relay information on such issues, we hope it raises that much more awareness to those listening. Aside from that, it’s good music. The music is what brings us here. The message is what keeps us here.

Vice’s forthcoming ‘Vice For President 2: There’s No Tomorrow Til You Wake Up’ is set to be released on 2/26 via United Grind (Vice’s own imprint).
