New Jersey emcee, Freddy Stone hits us with a 1-2 punch today. A strong 1-2 punch, at that.

Along with the release of his brand new 12-track mixtape Insomnia 4 Dummies, Stone also lets loose the video for his lead track “Nasal Drip.” The video was shot in Freddy’s hometown and paints a vivid picture of the environment that not only surrounds Freddy, but defines him as well. Born and raised in Garfield, New Jersey, the catchy set of visuals shows the details and imperfections of the blue­-collar town that raised the 5-­foot giant.

Freddy Stone has released the DATAMO$H produced, “Overdose,” the drug infused second track off his upcoming debut mixtape ‘Insomnia 4 Dummies,’ set for a mid-May release. Similar to Freddy’s lead track “Keepers Of The Forest,” “Overdose” also welcomes listeners to Freddy’s daily adventures. This time around, Freddy tells the story of a failed suicide attempt he encounters during a drug trip.

His most recent release is a stand out for sure. “Overdose” finds Freddy rhyming over a chopped-not-slopped Datamosh-produced instrumental sampling Britney Spear’s “Toxic,” using her “Too high, can’t come down,” metaphor for being high on love in a more literal sense in this case. The woozy beat paired with Freddy’s aggressive lyricism makes for a perfect introduction to this emcee, if you haven’t already heard his music.
