28 year old Lakewood, WA artist Frankie Flawless is on the rise, as both an emcee and a writer. His creative and sometimes jaw dropping lyrics and catchy hooks have caught the attention of some big promoters, allowing him to open up for some high profile artists such as DaBaby, Ja Rule & Ashanti and Snow Tha Product, to name a few. As well as locking in a feature with Texas rap legend Lil’ Flip for their twerk anthem, “BOUNCE”.

His ability to capture his audience on stage and bond with his fans has opened up some doors for him, with many more doors waiting to be open. He is a fun new wave of entertainment filled with respect for this industry.

When he’s not in the studio, or finding new inspirations for his writing, he enjoys watching Seinfeld and dining out at Taco Bell and interacting with his fans. Keep your eyes and ears out for this young man.”

RESPECT.: How’d you first get introduced to hip-hop?

FF: I was first introduced to Hip-Hop in elementary school. It was the first music that actually drove emotion into me when I would listen to it.

RESPECT.: Who are your musical inspirations?

FF: My musical inspiration growing up was DMX. I started writing my first song after hearing “Slippin” from him. Others include Wiz Khalifa, Carly Rae Jepsen, Saint Jhn, Ron Pope, Lady Gaga and the list goes on and on, from Rap to Country to Rock.

RESPECT.: What’s your favorite thing about performing for fans?

FF: My favorite thing about performing for fans is watching them just be themselves in the crowd. I’ve been told a lot of my music brings people out of the shells they hide in and I’m so thankful that I have the ability to do that while doing what I’m passionate about.

RESPECT.: Does personality win the crowd?

FF: Personally I think charisma wins the crowd, I’ve met people that have terrible personalities, but they hide it well and have great stage performance. Charisma is king on that stage. But having a genuine personality is always a bonus.

RESPECT.: What was was it like working with Lil’ Flip on your latest single?

FF: Working with Lil’ Flip was really something special. I remember listening to his songs in the car on the way home from school when I was younger and thinking how cool it would be to do a song with him. And it finally happened. Him and his team were very professional. Great experience.

RESPECT.: Where do you see yourself in the next five years?

FF: I see myself being very sustainable and successful in the next 5 years. I’m 28, I know I still have time to make an impact and leave a legendary imprint in this culture and that’s exactly what I’m going to do. No plan B. I see myself being considered someone to respect and someone that people Love to work with.

RESPECT.: What do you bring to the game?

FF: Uniqueness and unmatched characteristics to the fullest. I go on that stage or in that studio knowing no one is gonna have more fun or Love their fans more than me. My style and mindset are a rare breed. I bring myself to this game.

RESPECT.: Who would you like to collaborate with?

FF: I would Love to collaborate with Saint Jhn, Bryce Vine, DMX, Ed Sheeran, Doja Cat, Nelly, 50 Cent, Jon Bellion and about a hundred others. I just wanna work with as much people as I can, as long as I can vibe with them.

RESPECT.: What’s the next thing for you?

FF: Next up is getting all these shows figured out. I had to cancel a lot due to all this craziness from this Coronavirus, just like every other artist had too. But I’m working on some cool things, that I rather save as a surprise for my fans, both new and continuing. But I will say that me and Vory are working on a really dope song. Super excited to work with one of my favorite artist’s.

RESPECT.: What does RESPECT. mean to you?

FF: As cliche as it sounds, respect really is everything. I’ve turned down shows and collaborations because I don’t respect the promoter or company putting on the show, or the artist that’s tryna get a feature. I do my research and I focus on who they are backstage and how they act towards everyone, not just how they act to the bookers, or the crowd. If you’re two-faced I you are not gonna be mentioned with me. I’ve always said I’m not gonna make it because I got lucky, or knew someone that could lie for me. I’m gonna make it because of all my undying dedication and my humbleness. And it all starts with respect. Respect to the fans, to the venue, to the workers and your fellow musicians. Everyone. It’s not hard to be nice. And it’s even easier to show some respect.
