Based in Atlanta, Georgia Franceauthegod is making waves while being on every line-up and every platform. I was curious as I watched the young rapper on my timeline and just had to give him a call for a super dope interview. In July of 2018, he dropped his debut EP Phases Of The Night with production from Teesteez. In the EP, he delivers a solid and very innovative five-song compilation. Check out the interview below.

RESPECT.: Lets talk about your recent project, whats been going on since then?

As far as music goes once I dropped Phases Of The Night I just released records here and there to keep my name afloat. There are 5 songs on there and I wrote it in phases. I will go outside smoke and see phases of the moon and go in and record.

RESPECT.: Yeah, lets talk about your track Adult Films. How did that come about?

That song is about my friend. She’s dead now and committed suicide. She said I called everyone and you’re the only one that picked up. If you didn’t pick up I wouldn’t be here. I reminded her that life is beautiful. There is so much you can achieve and so much you can gain. She just wasn’t listening. I told her I’ve been through a lot being born with no vocals chords. People told me could’nt do it. Folks see me on tour and think everything is peaches and cream but its not. If I would compare my life to something it would be a bitch. It would be a porn star.

RESPECT.: What were you trying to get across in this project?

Quality. I really took my time with this project and I made a body of work that made sense. I want people to know I’m in this for longevity. My family is relying on me. I want to help people and show them to go for what they love.

RESPECT.: Atlanta artists are notorious for flashing what they bought with their money. You don’t think thats going to be you?

Listen Tracy, once I get that money it won’t be mine. I have people to take care of.

RESPECT.: How do you deal with failure?

You can’t have pride. I used to hate failure but I have learned to see the good things in it. It builds character. They don’t call me Franceauthegod for nothing.

RESPECT.: Why do they call you that?

Nobody can take anything from me. At my shows I’m throwing water into the crowd and I’m really putting on a show.
