One of the most innovative groups that ever entered hip hop A Tribe Called Quest is not only celebrating the 25 year anniversary year of their 1990 (a time where I was no where close to even being conceived) album People’s Instinctive Travels and the Paths of Rhythm but is also bringing in some creative weapons to add a little flavor to their reissue of the album.

Even though the upcoming album isn’t set to release until November 13th, the preorder is available and we still know a little bit about what to expect out of the reworked classic. Just two weeks ago Pharrell brought his magical touch to A Tribe Called Quest’s “Bonita Applebum” for a remix, premiered by Rolling Stone.

This week however, we learned that Ceelo Green was also going to be on the project as well, bringing his own flavor to the single “Footprints.”

Along with Ceelo’s dope contribution, we also got the chance to peep the track list for the album as well in where we discover that Fayetteville’s very own J.Cole will be on the remix of the classic “Can I Kick it?”

Let’s be honest, there’s no way you can improve a piece of work that’s already considered classic, but there’s no doubt that they picked the right people to celebrate iconic Hip-Hop. Even 25 years later, A Tribe Called Quest continues to deliver music worthy of everyone (even this very generation) being excited about.
