On this Easter Sunday, Kanye West delivers a new interlude, titled “Ultralight Prayer.” Taking pieces from “Low Lights” and “Ultralight Beam,” Kirk Franklin and Kelly Price deliver a soulful performance.

Behind a choir, Kirk Franklin and Kelly Price deliver a prayer to those of us who need more faith, love, and spiritual-healing. Done with no instrumentation, the rhythm is founded by the choir, leading their voices through orchestration.

It presents us with the argument, is this the version that should have lived on the original album? That’s a tough snake to rattle as you compare what many are saying the best verse they’ve heard in a while, coming from Chance The Rapper.

With The Life of Pablo being an ever-developing piece of work, “Ultralight Prayer” could be developing into more.

Recently revealed how “Ultralight Beam” came together by Fonzworth Bentley, the trials and success of the song is powerful within itself.

“Kirk Franklin is a staple and a juggernaut of the gospel community. We got a studio for him on Saturday for the choir. How many people in the choir? We’ll keep that private, we’ll call that secret sauce,” Fonzworth said to FADER.

Bringing a secluded-rim of thought to the song, “Ultralight Prayer” is another product to add to Ye’s spiritual-based material.
