An award-winning sports journalist out of Flint, Michigan, Woodyard has profiled anyone from LeBron James, Anthony Dirrell, Claressa Shields and more.

A graduate of Western Michigan University, Woodyard appeared on ESPN’s “E:60” and “Outside the Lines” in 2016 and was awarded first place for Best Sports Story and Best Sports Feature categories in 2012 and 2015 by the Michigan Associated Press

After covering everything Flint at MLive.com, he was recently named Utah Jazz beat writer by Deseret News. He literally packed up everything he’s known and transitioned all the way there.

Did we mention he did all of this while having a 3-year old son? Kudos, brotha!

While on the Scoop B Radio podcast, Woodyard discussed the transition from Michigan to Utah, the Flint Water Crisis, anecdotes of journalism he’s learned along the way and the Utah Jazz’s chances in the NBA’s Western Conference.
