Red Hot Chili Peppers announced their upcoming eleventh studio album titled The Getaway, which will be available on June 17th. The production aspect of this project was handled by Danger Mouse, while Radiohead‘s producer, Nigel Goodrich, did all the magical mixing. The music production will be released by Warner Bros., and features 13-tracks for fans to rock out to.

The alternative rock veterans shared their soulful new single “Dark Necessities,” with music lovers on May 5th. Not to mention, it was worth the wait indeed!  Red Hot Chili Peppers’ released their previous chart-topping album, I’m With You, back in 2011. It’s been a while (exactly five years) since fans held a current album in their hands. As a fan, it’s f**king awesome to hear Anthony Kiedis‘ voice again, Josh Klinghoffer‘s guitar action, Chad Smith‘s drumstick work, and Flea‘s overall musical instrument skills. Let this song fulfill all your “Dark Necessities,” at any given time.

“Coming out to the light of day/ We got many moons than a deeper place/ So I keep an eye on the shadow’s smile/ To see what it has to say/ You and I both know/ Everything must go away/ Ah, what do you say?/ Spinning off, head is on my heart/ It’s like a bit of light  and a touch of dark,” he sings.

The South African rap duo Die Antwoord is back at it again with visuals for “Ugly Boy,” one of the single’s from June’s Donker Mag. The video was made by the artists themselves: Ninja directed while Yo-Landi Vi$$er produced.

This video follows in the tradition of previous visuals released by the group, specifically calling to mind some of the imagery from “I Fink U Freeky.” In one scene, the pair spit rhymes in gold jumpsuits in front of a velvet curtain. In another, blood drips down white walls and out of Nina’s mouth. Die Antwoord classic aesthetics abound: black-out eye contacts, patterned oversized sleeveless hoodies, and Yo-Landi’s signature high-waisted hot shorts plus crop top combo outfit.

To make this video happen, Die Antwoord enlisted the help of some famous friends: Jack Black, Marilyn Manson, Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea, the ATL Twins, Dita Von Teese, and even supermodel Cara Delevingne all make appearances throughout the video. This video has a clean polish, which emphasizes the cool, slow beat. The “zef-so-fresh” attitude championed by the pair takes a back seat for this recognizably chiller, but still club-popping, jam.

Drake, Rick Ross, and Lil Wayne perform “I’m On One” live at the OVO Fest in Toronto, Drake’s annual reward to fans for their on-going support. To conclude the song, as well as the show, Drake reminds the ecstatic crowd one more time, “All I care about is money and the city I’m from”.
