In today’s society it’s become increasingly easy, and difficult, to find new music. The days of checking blogs to find the best, new, young artists have long died off as now, everything is driven by trends, streams, and your previous taste based on your streaming platform of choice. Having the ability to write for RESPECT and host my own radio show, #TheAltWithMel, I want to individually do more to shine a light on up and coming artists. That’s what brings me to IOTD, Indie Of The Day. Aside from the regular pieces I’ll write, I will do my best to shine a light on those who you haven’t heard yet and will soon become your favorites. Today, we’ll begin with TaeeFye and his single, “Feel’N”.

The single is the outro tracj on “TF’s” 5 song E.P. titled ‘Word Of Mouth’. TaeeFye expresses his feelings on the mic, and touches subjects that some are too afraid to speak on. He also speaks on the independence of creating his own brand, creating his own wave, and image.

It’s a lot easier to be yourself than to follow in someone’s footsteps. Sometimes even though the world is cold, and there are plenty of heartless people you never know if there is someone out there praying for you in your corner. Have faith in the your process on your own journey, or #Alternative Road, and listen to TaeeFye’s pain on the soulful instrumental produced by Puku.
