Father just released a very vibrant visual for his single “Heartthrob” and it doesn’t disappoint whatsoever.

After performing the catchy track for COLORS Berlin back in August (click here to check out the video), the ATL rapper decided to go all out with this trippy picnic-inspired music video.

Father went in depth on his inspiration for the music video with Fader: “Many of my past music videos have either been a mix of light-hearted and wicked (i.e. ‘Everybody in the Club Getting Shot’) or completely dark and fucked up like ‘Suicide Party.’ For ‘Heartthrob’ I wanted something more bubblegum-y. The production on the song is so adorable, anything else wouldn’t have done it justice. Ramez is the homie and after his work on ‘Big Emblem Benz,’ I just let him do his thing on this one. The result is something that looks more like Wes Anderson meets Toilet Paper Magazine.”

This weekend David Wept and Facecard Agency present the Death To The Normal pop-up show that will feature rappers from Carolina that have been on a crazy move lately. Not only will JK The Reaper be in the building, but also Charlotte’s Frais (who will be performing at the Smokers Club event on December 22nd along Joey Badass and Father) and Raleigh’s Austin Royale. In addition to these Carolina acts, C9’s Sdotbraddy will also be performing with some very special guests. Be sure to not miss out this Saturday, Dec.12th. Carolina vs. everybody.

Just earlier at the Billboard Hot 100 Festival, ILoveMakonnen subliminally announced that he would be dropping his album this coming October. We aren’t exactly sure what the name of the album will be exactly, but it wouldn’t be surprising if it’s titled, ILoveMakonnen 2 since he tweeted the alleged title along with saying,”10/2015 bye.” Being that it’s somewhat too early to gather more information on the upcoming album, all we can do is assume that the album will have an unpredictable sound, be catchy as f*ck, and possibly consist of collaborations from other artists of OVO, as well as Awful Records (like Father for instance). In the meanwhile, we’ll just have to keep paying attention to the public notions and subliminal social media announcements of October’s Very Own.

Waisting no time after the release of their buzz-worthy “Stay Up Late“ single with accompanying visual, Virginia collective BreezePark unload their highly anticipated debut EP, “Strangers.” Equipped with a co-sign from G.O.O.D. Music recording artist Pusha T,  some top notch instrumentation from in-house producer Mike Carey, as well as a few guest sound architects including Chicago’s own Martin $ky, the 12-track project is sure to be fan favorite. At the beginning of March, Houston’s Maxo Kream released a new mixtape in “MAXO 187.” Today, he keeps the promotion for the mixtape going with a new set of visuals for highlighting track “Cell Boomin,” which features Atlanta’s Father. Shot by Midas Gold during A$AP Rocky‘s house party down in Austin, Texas at SXSW, Kream and Father bring their strong collaboration to life in a simple, yet effective video that includes cameos from Rocky and Chicago’s Lucki Eck$.
