A-Trak and his Fool’s Gold brand has certainly found its niche with forward-thinking, genre-bending cuts that everyone can enjoy. This year, A-Trak continues to raise the bar by connecting with Fool’s Gold producer Falcons (and High Klassified) for the track “Ride For Me,” which also features Atlanta’s 24hrs and frequent collaborator Young Thug:

You’ve never heard Young Thug like this… His voice is elastic, self-distorted, at times barely human or intelligible, and at other times familiar and bouncy.

In light of the news that he’s working with Rick Rubin on his next project, GoldLink collabs with L.A. producers Falcons to give us “Vroom.” As if GoldLink’s crafty flow and party centric feel wasn’t enough, implementing a Missy Elliot sample adds another dimension to the records texture, giving listeners a tangible grasp of GoldLink’s creativity. Like his last album, “The God Complex,” “Vroom” captures the essence of his artistry, displaying a wide range of cadences that are becoming signature GoldLink sound. Stooki Sound was supposed to bless New York City with an hour long set at the Governor’s Ball silent disco on June 9th, but they cancelled the appearance. We’d like to think they had a very good reason for skipping out because it’s a shame- damn near a crime- to hide their new exclusive mix from the public.
East London duo, DJ Lukey and Jelacee are Stooki Sound, a brand new production crew deep into the trap sound. Their new 45 minute cut of remixes should definitely be on the summer playlist of anyone who enjoys a high quality, electronic UK sound with tons of sub-bass and beats that are loaded with grimy, energetic rap lyrics.
