In case you’ve been under a rock and unaware, long gone are the days where the East and West coasts were the only places delivering our favorite music. The South has risen, as we all know, but when you talk about rapid emergence, it is a must that you talk about the Midwest. With OG talent like Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Common, Slum Village and Do Or Die, The Mid has always been present, but not like it is today, with perhaps one of the most influential artists (and people) on the planet, a guy named Kanye West, hailing from Chicago.

Maybe you haven’t been keeping score, though; and if that’s the case, it’s all good, because DJ F.A.T.E. is here to get you together, with a brand new mix titled, Welcome to the Midwest V.

Teaming with well-known producer and emcee, Drumma Boy, F.A.T.E. introduces us to some Midwest talent that we might need to pay attention to, if we haven’t been already, with seventeen brand new tracks. Although is tape is Ohio-heavy, bouncing from Cleveland (Tezo, KiD CuDi, Ray Jr.), to Cincinnati (Lantana Easy) to Columbus (Tae Fresh, Jerreau, iyeball), F.A.T.E. and Drumma managed to throw some DeJ Loaf in there, along with southern acts like Chase N Cashe, and Scotty ATL.
