Add Antonio Breez to the list of burgeoning Bostonian emcees on the come-up. After years spent working on his craft, the time has come for the release of his debut effort, The Convocation of Antonio Breez. Today, his friends, fam, fans, and Hip-Hop enthusiasts assemble from far and wide through the mysticism of modern technology (thank you, internet) to stream his dissertation, of sorts. From his artistic commitment, to life choices, relationships, and bars that reach out smack you from cyberspace, Antonio’s inaugural LP is as lyrical as it is distinguished. Breez’s performance on Convocation is only rivaled by the production value, where upcoming producers’ Kazi Beatz, Official Sticqel, Magic on the Beat, and more, help contribute towards his Summa Cum Laude achievement.

For some extra credit, Breez is pleased to share the visuals for “You Ain’t Hot” and “Exodus,” which are condensed into one engaging video. The focus on both videos is placed on Breez’s lyrics, where the first half takes us back to the days of Video Music Box where low-definition public access cable reigned supreme. “Exodus” places things in a more post millennial context, where a hoodied-up Breez bodies bars in an abandoned parking lot that has a plot twist that’s to be continued.
