As one of the hardest working men in showbiz himself, but also alongside his legendary comedic family, Marlon Wayans has time-and-time again proven himself as a force to be reckon with. The famous Wayans family came up from shows like “In Living Color” and “The Wayans Brothers” and many many others from the enormous archive; Marlon was the youngest sibling we saw of that generation growing up in television and film. Marlon has since made a name for himself as a not only a goofy comedian, but a STAR. As a writer, director, producer, and actor, he has been known for parodies and spoofs like Scary Movie 1 and 2, A Haunted House 1 and 2, more recently “Fifty Shades of Black”and also films like “White Chicks”.

A few days ago, Marlon announced via social media his new family sitcom “Marlon” has been picked up by NBC, also starring Essence Atkins, Notlim Taylor, Amir O’Neil, Bresha Webb, and Diallo Riddle.

According to Deadline, the show that is set to premiere this Fall will resemble the actual lifestyle of the Wayans’ Brother; “Loosely inspired by the real life of star Marlon Wayans, this update to the classic family comedy centers on a loving (but immature) father committed to co-parenting his two kids with his very-together ex-wife. While his misguided fatherly advice, unstoppable larger-than-life personality and unpredictable Internet superstardom might get in the way sometimes, for Marlon family really always does come first — even if he’s the biggest kid of all.”
