Maryland based MC, Nomad The Native, reveals his brand new single “From The Soil.” The self and Eric Barry co-produced record pays homage to the young artist’s roots in his suburban hometown. In an email, Nomad shares how “From The Soil” was birthed: “I grew up with a fondness for a culture that radiated from the city outward to the suburbs. But throughout the years, the very urban culture that acted as a source of interest didn’t always seem that inviting to suburban residents, or even other parts of itself for that matter. This conflict between fondness and perceived rejection set the tone of a voice I speak with and that’s very obvious with this record.” In the cover art, his watch reads “3:01” — symbolism for MD’s area code — as he holds soil in his hands.
