Emy Mariani‘s world is composed of macabre monsters and possessed characters. In his work, we recognize some of the most iconic 80’s villains.

From an early age I was attracted by villains, all kinds. I remember comments of my friends who thought it was just a phase and it would pass… 33 years later it hasn’t (*laughs*). What motivates me to work is the horror, the abominable things. I am also greatly influenced by literature. The stories of Lovecraft and Poe are my favorite, I love books of magic like Aleister Crowley, Eliphas Levi and Francis Barret. I also find inspiration from reading old tales, myths and legends. Everything related to secrecy always fascinated me.
