Texas rapper Thomas Howard, has officially released his new single “The Backstory Pt. 1”. Since gaining the industry’s attention in 2015, after being discovered by Bizarre from D12, Howard has only taken his career to new heights. This single dives into a deeper layer of this emcee’s honest tongue, and raw lyricism.

On this song, you will hear the Texas native rapping about his trials and tribulations, as he pushes through pain in order to garner success. As this single is geared to appear on his upcoming EP The M.I.M.O.E, it sets the tone for what we can expect from Howard all year. His storytelling abilities are out of this world, and thrive like never before on his latest material. The most notable element of this release is the consistent, heavy hitting bars that go on from the beginning to the end of the record.

Being heavily influenced by a long list of greats, such as Big Pun, Nas, The Notorious B.I.G., Tupac, Bizarre of D12 and Eminem Howard is figuring out ways to joins the ranks of some of the greats.

Brazilian Multi-platinum producer, João “JD On Tha Track” Duarte, is a hitmaker influencing the hip hop game in a major way. Backed by Sony Music Entertainment his distinct sound has afforded him the opportunity to collaborate with music hotshots such as Lil Tjay, Polo G, Gunna, Lil Baby, NBA Youngboy, and Rick Ross to name a few.

I caught up with the hitmaker for a candid interview, as he openly discussed transitioning to America, creating hits with Lil Tjay and having an original sound. Check it out below!

Respect: Who is JD on the Track?

JD: Just a person that had a dream to become one of the greatest producers ever. I’ a person who made it out Brazil that wanted to change the world in a positive way, being a motivation to people and someone to help people through music. I want people to feel my beats in their hearts and souls and change their lives for the better.  I want to my music to make people’s day. I want to change the world. I want to be the best producer ever.

Respect: When did you realize you wanted to pursue a career in music as a producer?

JD: I realized around 2011 when I was listening to Wiz Khalifa’s  “Cabin Fever” album or something like that and I told myself,  “I want to be apart of this” because when I saw the producing credits of the producers, I knew I wanted to make something like this. So that is when I first realized, I wanted to do that. 2012 was the year I actually started making beats. I always loved music.  Since I was a kid, I always listened to Eminem, 50 cent, Akon, The Game, everybody back in the day. I always had that passion for music especially Rap and Hip-Hop.”

Respect: How did you get your start in the music business? When did you catch your break?

JD: I think it was when TJAY dropped “Brothers” and that song started doing well. After “Pop Out”, everything was getting better.”

Respect: Do you mind giving some insight on what it’s been like working and creating with Lil Tjay?

JD: We the got chemistry. Since I met him, we just kept going hard. We have so many songs that are not even out yet and every song that we have could go platinum. Every song that we have a good response from the fans and everybody.

Respect: How does it feel like having a record charting on billboard at the number 11 as one of your major accomplishments?

JD: It feels amazing. Just a blessing.

Respect: How has being a multi-platinum producer changed your life?  

JD: It changed my life on how I see things. I have become so mature. I have learned so many new things.

Respect: As you are a producer who has found your way in the industry, how would you best describe your production style?

JD: I think my production style is melodic with some hard drums. It’s very unique. When people come to me, they want that “JD on the track” style. When they hear it, they will know it is me on the beat once my tag line drops on every song. That is really important for a producer. Producers need to have their own sound and style.

Respect: What prompted your move to America from Brazil as you have recently relocated?

JD: I have only been living in the US for 3 months. Music made me move to the US to pursue my dreams and goals. Respect: What is up next for JD on the Track as the new year is underway, and what are you most excited about in 2020?

JD: I have a lot of songs with a bunch of new people. I am not going to disclose any names but it is a lot of people and you all will see when it drops. You can expect so much more hard work, many more plaques, and an album. I want to drop an album with all my producing credits. You can expect a lot from me in 2020.

Respect: How have things been since moving to America?

JD: It was tough in the beginning but after a while, I have definitely gotten used to it.

Respect: What advice would you give a person looking to break into the industry as a producer?

JD: Just keep going hard. Keep doing what you doing. Do not listen to what anyone has to say about it. Do not lose faith. Just keep going, no matter what.”

California based Hip Hop artist Truth Ali has dropped off the PREMIERE of his latest visual for his “Wait A Minute” single. Having been compared to the likes of Eminem, Techn9ne, Ludacris, Busta
Rhymes, Twista and 2 Pac,  his raw creativity is relentless. As someone who prides themself on being real and authentic, he shows the world why he is the next big act coming out the west coast. His quick tongue and vicious bars are two elements of this release that take Truth Ali’s talent to new heights.

In this visual you will see the emcee dressed in an almost all black ensemble with a black background, conveying his seriousness. As he spits some of his heaviest bars, the California native comes correct, and hard. With a rapidly growing fan base this visual is exactly what a real hip hop lover is looking for. The man and woman moving in unison as silhouettes are really nice to touch an impressive body fo work.

Truth Ali does a great job bridging conscious lyrics over a booming thriving melody. Some bars that stand out the most on this song are “all I’m fearing is God, no longer afraid of my own strength, y’all ain’t wasting my time ain’t no refunding on that shit”. His on camera charisma and high energy delivery, gives him an edge over the other newcomers looking to shake up the music business.

Haitian born rapper Pacman Plu is New York’s next big star. Having recently inked a distribution partnership with Roc Nation’s Equity Distribution, he is preparing for the roll out of his debut EP. With the backing of Loyalty Media Group, he has all of the missing pieces needed to garner success in the music business. His original lyrical cadence is one of many reasons why he is the next big star coming out of New York.

I had the pleasure of catching up with the newcomer to gain more knowledge on his musical career. As he candidly discusses working with Loyalty, Equity and putting out his debut project, it is clear that he is ready for the big leagues.

Respect: How proud are you of your Haitian culture?

Pacman Plu: I am super proud. I was actually born in Haiti and moved to New York when I was 7. Around the time I moved no one liked Haitians. I always loved it though and plus I have a big family. My cousin is a  “Zoe” which is a super cultural Haitian collective he inspired me to join. They use to get jumped and stuff a lot so we needed something that was for us by us. I was like 9 looking up to them and when I was 11, I really tried to prove myself fighting. All in all I love being Haitian.

Respect: What has it been like signing with Equity Distribution under Roc Nation?

Pacman: It is super exciting. I have not felt the full effect of it yet though. It gives me something to use to further my career and helps me in the long run. But I would not be able to distribute my music properly without the help of loyalty. Jaiyoko helped me a lot, and really busted her butt for me. In the last two months, I have learned more about the music business from Loyalty, than I have learned in my life.

Respect: In what ways has Loyalty media group impacted your career?

Pacman: Loyalty has changed my life. I met the team in Baltimore at the Rel carter Culture Tour in which I performed on. They started talking to me about Loyalty and tried to get people to sign up. I had a talk with them and the rest is history. I Have learned so much in last two month. Jai got my music copy wrote and had me looking over contracts with producers.

I didn’t even know until I talked to Jai that I did not own most of my previously released music. But now with Loyalty it is so much easier for me to prosper. They are great people and are well connected. If there is an artist that just needs a little help, loyalty is for you. It is like having a big brother or sister.

Respect: Would you best describe your sound?

Pacman: Versatile. I try my best to stick to my roots . I started rapping when I was around 10. At that time 50 Cent, Jay-Z and Eminem is what I listened to. Now that auto tune is popping, I am doing that wave while still remaining versatile.

Respect: When does your debut release come out?

Pacman: It comes out September 13^th.
