“See No Evil” is making some serious splashes in the street art world this week. TATS CRU, El Mac, and Nick Walker are all in Bristol completing their works for the show, not to mention some side pieces they’re working on just for the hell of it.

Let’s start with TATS CRU. The fact that this group has made an appearance is BIG for Bristol. The members are Bio, BG183, Nicer, HOW, and NOSM, and together they’ve worked for some big clients like Coca Cola and Sony. Their piece is the one featured above. They worked through the night to complete it. Oh, and they’re Bronx guys. Hell yeah, New York.

Next up, we have another yankee: L.A. artist El Mac. His big thing is photo-realistic murals, so it’s no surprise that that’s what he brought to the wall in Bristol. Here’s how the piece looks so far, but they have one more day of work before it will be complete:

Last up: British native Nick Walker. Walker first emerged on the street art scene in Bristol in the 1980s, so he must be really comfortable in this area, which explains the fact that he works by day on his See No Evil project, and by night on an entirely different mural. His work for the show is on a 10 story building right next to El Mac’s building. The work isn’t done yet, but when complete, the mural will show a 8 story tall banker pouring paint down the building. Lobster Pictures and Hurricane Media have teamed up to set up a live feed to watch the progress on this beauty. Watch right here.

And if you look to the side, you can see El Mac’s work right there. It looks even more realistic from this distance!

Thanks to the efforts of British street artist Inkie, and music promoters Team Love, Bristol will be home to a very ambitious permanent street art project, See No Evil. Graffiti and street artists from around the world have already started gathering and painting in Bristol, with the ultimate goal of completing facades on ten different multistory buildings on Nelson Street. Reppin’ the U.S. at See No Evil will be New York’s Tats Cru, and L.A. artist El Mac who is set to start painting today. These street art legends are joined by artists from Holland, Spain, Brazil and the UK, each bringing their completely unique styles to Bristol.

Event organizer Inkie explains:

“We have spent nearly 12 months negotiating and planning this major project, which will be the jewel in the crown of the city’s already buzzing art scene. We have invited some of the world’s most talented graffiti artists to bring their skills to city, and we have a number of returning Bristolians to head up proceedings.

Nothing of this size and scale has ever taken place in the UK and it’s an event that has captured the minds of some the world’s most respected street artists. It’s a major coup that we’ve managed to pull this off in Bristol.”

The celebration of these works, and the start of the exhibition is sure to be nothing short of exciting, so stay tuned for more info on the event which kicks off this Thursday!

Famous Australian painter Anthony Lister did a nice live art performance in Jaybo’s Project Room (Herakut, Kofie, El Mac and other famous urban artists painted there before!) in Berlin two days ago. Although Lister looked a bit exhausted (don’t know, maybe it’s just his style…), he showcased a great performance and painted again one of his well-known murals! Here are some photos for those of you who missed this nice event.
