Up and coming doublet, Lill Twinn and Mizzy Coke had a unique concept in mind when they linked up by mixing EDM with hip-hop. Lill Twinn from New Jersey has been in love with EDM ever since he could remember. Philadelphia born and raised, Mizzy Coke has been making music for years now. They randomly ended up at the same session at the studio one night and produced three records together and then later on become a duo. Their new song, “Whisper Song” has received over 10,000 views and a lot of positive feedback from their supporters, local DJs and the blogs. Their charm, style, and vibe is simply one of a kin. This is how an why they have been so successful in their performances and concerts. With such substantial lyrics and catchy hooks, millennial’s their other listeners are intrigued by what they say and what is next for them. In the visuals they are partying and turning up as delivery fun, you can see they have having fun and creating a timeless vibe.

“We made the record in less than 20 minutes. Afterwards we were jumping around for joy because we felt like we had made a hit record! We finished the rap part but we didn’t have a chorus so Twinn went back in & literally freestyle the chorus which he whispered in 1 take so we called it the “whisper song”. There’s a classic movie called “Lover boy” where the pizza boy sleeps with a bunch of older ladies after he delivers the pizza.. we loosely based it off that & the girls were down so we did it. We want to continue being creative, funny & unique with hopes that our fan base expands throughout the world so we can stop laughing at our own jokes & be icons.”

With this duos energetic and rare style mixed in with their dope creativity they effortlessly grab your attention, showing how unstoppable they are. Many are drawn to their vibrant personalities and want to enjoy their mix of humor and music.

EDM heavyweight Steve Aoki brought the Kolony tour to the Palladium in Worcester, Massachusetts highlighting tracks from his Hip-Hop collaboration album, Kolony. The album featured some of music’s biggest names including Lil Uzi Vert, Migos, Gucci Mane, Rich The Kid and more. The emergence of EDM and Rap collaborations is becoming more common and Steve has been in the forefront of it all.

Aoki didn’t hit the road alone. Brooklyn rapper Desiigner was a special guest on tour. Known for his number 1 charting single “Panda,” the GOOD Music signee was the perfect way to start the show off. Desiigner is an energetic, crowd-moving artist that had fans raging for his entire set. Cuts from his debuts mixtape New English, and singles like “Outlet” spun as Desiigner proceeded to throw water and surf the crowd. Life Of Desiigner the album is slated to drop sometime this year.

Loud electronic sounds filled the room and the crowd screamed. If there’s an artist who’s concerts can actually be described as a party, it’s Steve Aoki. Aoki played a bass-pumping set for an incredible 2 hours. Bright lights flashed across the venue and ceiling-touching smoke fired from the stage. Truly engaged with the crowd, Aoki kept the atmosphere electronic.

“It’s time for the moment you all came here for.. Cake.” Aoki is well known for throwing big sheets of cake at fans during his show. Fans love the thought of going home and cleaning frosting off their faces and hair. Big signs read “Cake Me” and fans raised them over their heads. The cakes started flying from the cloud. Desiigner even got in on the cake throwing and tossed one at a fan in the front row. Concluding, the opening artists and Aoki shared the stage one last time to take a bow and wish the crowd a good night. EDM and Rap fusion is something we shall continue to see emerge and as fans of both genres, we’re not mad.

Sisqo is taking us back to 1999 by teaming up with JCY for a revamp of his hit “Thong Song.”

The 2017 EDM version gives a nod to the original by featuring a bevy of beauties on the beach but also incorporates a different flare by adding a dance scene on a neon lit dance floor, ladies in the skating rink and more, Sisqo even tones down the vocal runs amidst the drops.

In an interview with Buzz Feed, Sisqo explains why he decided to do the remake of his smash hit after turning down so many other requests.

“I’ve been asked so many times over the years to make a new version of ‘Thong Song,’ and I have declined every time until I heard the new version that JCY did. I thought it was dope and figured maybe it was time to put some new rims on the Bugatti.”

No don’t expect Sisqo to reenact his infamous scene of running over a sea of women, but you can see the former Dru Hill front man is still rocking the dance moves.

During an interview with Rolling Stone in 2014, Sisqo explained why he felt the infectious song will never go out of style.

“Every time I perform that song, as soon as those first strings start, everybody jumps into the time machine and goes back to the fun they had back then and the crowd still goes nuts. Instead of getting downplayed, it’s getting bigger with each year.”

Sisqo released the “Thong Song” on New Year’s Eve in 1999, the single went on to reach the #3 spot on the Billboard Charts.

Artists like Dom Kennedy, Kehlani, JMSN, D.R.A.M, and Chance The Rapper shard the stage with the likes of Masego, Cashmere Cat, and RL Grime, forming an artistic bond between urban culture and electronic music. From hardcore Hip-Hop heads to wrist beads and glow sticks, Trillectro 2015 was the trillest of trill.

While working alongside Cory Gunz, members of Pro Era, KR and more in 2015, this release is all new production from the 17 year old budding producer who’s rise in the industry production game is nothing ordinary. Utilizing feel good vibes through some EDM/Dance music blends, the usual hip-hop producer takes a different route on this. Check it out below.

In anticipation of his upcoming album, Chris Brown has recently released the title track of the album. On “X,” Brown teams up with EDM powerhouse player Diplo, who produced the track. Needless to say, the track is definitely going to be this season’s newest club banger.

The song starts out slow, Brown lamenting all of the time that he’s wasted on some girl: “I can see from this high up, you ain’t got a heart girl. Privacy is for the cheater obviously you’re deceiving.” Looks like the bad boy has been done wrong by some mysterious female, his “X.”

While Brown’s anger and sadness in the song is somewhat refreshing (pop-y hip/hop can’t all be about rainbows, sunshine, and un-“Loyal” girls), this track is a little bit too much. It’s all over the place trying to follow a trend that’s been done time and time again. After the hook, Diplo comes in with a gnarly bass drop that honestly sounds like Summer 2012.

While it’s doubtless that this song will be an absolute bestseller, it detracts from the tone of the rest of the album and is basically just all over the place. Get excited for X (the album), because it will be good, but maybe skip this track when it comes on your stereo.
