Arkansas rapper Ed Dolo saw success with his smash hit “FYLH Remix” feat. Dee Mula in 2018 also saw the release of his new project No Cosign Reloaded (2018) capitalizing on his rising popularity, numbers, and ambition he hope to use his momentum to break through the barrier in 2019, establishing himself in the music industry.

Heirion Thomas better known as Ed Dolo was born in Helena, Arkansas. It was here he would find a voice with his music. After the lost of his grandmother and some close friends Ed Dolo realized that he couldn’t express himself until he was introduced to the studio.

It was there that he truly found a way to tell his story like some of his favorite artist Starlito, Boosie, and Yo Gotti. To this day he feels that where words fail, music speaks and he has the volume to the max.

In 2018, Ed Dolo performed live on many stages opening up for artist like Dee Mula, Quality Control artist Bankroll Freddie, and commanding the main stage himself in many of them, he was featured on interviews with The Real Underground Radio and popular blogs like SayCheese TV.

In 2020, elevation is the key and like the name of his name project suggests he doesn’t need a cosign and with the release of his latest project, Mr. One Take, all he need is one time to tell the story right.

RESPECT.: Where you from?
ED: Helena, Ark.

RESPECT.: Who is Ed Dolo?
Ed Dolo: Dolo is a kid from Helena with a story a story to tell. Mane I had dropped out of college got so heavy in the streets and that’s just what it was. I wasn’t rapping or even thinking about rapping, none of that. I had lost my partner Travis he was like big bruh in the hood that was our O.G.

In 2009, he had got killed. Like a few months after that my auntie Marca died and in 2012 when I just really lost everything my Granny died and that’s the woman who raised me from a baby mane. Just when I coped it was a repeated pattern years after few more friends had got killed then 2016 my bestfriend Dre had got killed outside a party and that shit had just damaged me from that point where I was so stressed out mane and just was numb, then one day I started rapping i use to always freestyle or hype man for Grease my big bro he was the rapper hahaha. I had just started writing s**t that I couldn’t talk to people about and going to the studio and after dropping certain pain songs mane i use to feel so relieved . Liked damn I feel better after getting that off my chest type vibes. So it jus started from there. I was doing it as therapy really. Then after that so many people just use to be like bro you hard and you need to drop your own shit I was only doing features and s**t really. Then it just went from there then boom then came ya boy Ed Dolo. Then it’s just all start growing so fast mane I start dropping lil’ mixtapes and my hometown was f****g with me so sh*t I had to keep coming with it they wouldn’t let me stop.

RESPECT.: Who are your musical & career influences?
ED: My musical influences are Bankroll Freddie, Yo Gotti, QC Pee, and Master P n***as like that.

RESPECT.: Why has it been hard for Arkansas to make its breakthrough?
ED: It’s been hard for Arkansas to breakthrough cause too much competition not enough support, everybody for they self. Nobody wanna support each other.

RESPECT.: Who’s putting on for the city and why now for Arkansas?
ED: Putting on for my City is Me & Bankroll Freddie, Trelleon, King Tate, and plenty artist mane too many to name.

RESPECT.: Top 5 favorite artist?
ED: Starlito, Boosie, Yo Gotti, Webbie, & Lil Baby

RESPECT.: You just dropped your project “Mr. One Take” what’s special about this project to you? How did you come up with the B3 flow?
ED: I was actually listening to my nigga B3 from IFOM and was like mane I’m finna rap like this nigga haha. That’s my brother you know and when I recorded it I couldn’t really do my voice like he be doing it so I was like damn I didn’t use Bruh flow but I’m a still name it that cause he inspired it. The production cans MellWitDaBeatz the 17-year old super producer, he’s still in high school. The young man is from Arkansas with a lot of talent and a strong business sense.

Quality Control’s latest signee to its top-tier independent label based in Atlanta,Ga. Bankroll Freddie is the breakthrough rising artist from the 870 area code. He has been the trending topic and talk of the Natural State, putting his hometown of Helena, Arkansas on the map.

Freddie releases his fourth quarter visual, “What the Hate Bout” ft. Ed Dolo. While Arkansas is still an untapped market for music, Freddie paints the perfect picture of the daily struggles, persevering through the poverty, while strategizing for a better shot and position in the game.

The Livesosa produced visual shows both Bankroll and Dolo holding their own, telling their story with confidence, and dropping jewels on how to silence the haters that are trying to figure out how he beat the odds.

Freddie brings a charismatic and focused approach to the game looking to bring a different flavor to the untapped Arkansas market. With QC Pee and Coach K as mentors, Freddie is striving to be the number 1 draft pick for the next generation of independent artist with his raw and animated delivery with a cinematic sound that people are certainly paying attention to.
