]]> Mac Miller Diablo Larry FishermanMac Miller‘s ongoing rebirth continues with “Diablo,” a somber and scattered reflection on death, fame and living life as an anti-hero. Produced by Mac himself under his producer alias Larry Fisherman, the track samples John Coltrane and Duke Ellington‘s “In a Sentimental Mood.” Mac maintains the pensive and mellow spirit of the original, but the added percussion gives the sentimental a slight edge. For instance, when Mac bleakly raps, “Everybody got dead homies” for the chorus, the percussion imbues the solemn statement with a tinge of anger.  Mac Miller really knows how to build a full song.
