New York native, Dread Da Don unveils his personal thoughts and experiences in the profound single called “Having a Dream.” Produced by Tone Jonez, the track is somewhat a compelling embodiment of Dread Da Don’s lyrical diary. The track is an inspiring piece as the rapper touches on unfortunate and pivotal events in his life. In his own words, the Dread describes his trials and tribulations in a way that speaks to his listeners.

As the song plays, the Inwood – based street poet reminds us that the bad comes with the good. Looking back on tragic events such as the loss of his friend and fellow rapper Chinx, Dread Da Don also recalls rejoicing in his triumphs of winning court cases as well as celebrating the life of luxury with his friends.

As the rapper shares glimpses of certain hardships in his life, it’s easy to sympathize with Dread Da Don’s testimonial and how this cruel world has turned him into a cold-hearted individual. It’s safe to say that even with the odds against him, this rapper still manages to turn his dreams into a reality. Given his adversities, one would even say that they have shaped Dread Da Don into the artist he is today.
