As a member of the SRFSCHL family under super-producer Harry Fraud, Dion has created a unique sound.  Working with Fraud was super influential and inspiring to Dion. He used this opportunity to learn a lot of the music industry. Therefore, he used all his resources to create this timeless project. In addition to trusting his journey this tape tells it all.

His delivery is a diverse mix of hard-hitting flows – each one catchier than the last.  Dion is most well known for his single “Damian Lillard” and debut album “Swoop Dreams.” However, listeners will soon know him for a fresh round of hits: including “Broke Opps,” “Touchdown,” and “Not Even Tourin.” These records make you feel the chill vibes when looking back on pre-pandemic international escapades.

Given his current trajectory and the confidence with which he delivers, we can only assume that we’ll be seeing more big things from Downtown Dion in the near future.

Get to know a fresh up and coming artist, HEFE coming out of Downtown Manhattan. HEFE, along with his family Swoop Gang, brings us an exclusive look into to his life with his first video “Potential.”

This video is shot by Off Records Productions and edited by Jordan Clark. “Potential”‘s production gives off a high energy vibe followed by HEFE’s true life stories out of Manhattan’s Baruch Projects. Although this Haitian artist has yet to release a full project he is building a following and by the looks of it, HEFE is going to make a breakout in 2017 showcasing more of his talent like similar artists from his area such as Downtown Dion and Downtown Dolla.  Most of all keep an eye out for this new talented artist.

The entirety of Downtown Dion‘s visual for “Pain” is a shroud; visually sinister, while boasting cinematography of a person very fond of shadows and grizzly scenarios, and verbally acidic. The tale in this case is a very common one, seen plenty of times in hip-hop: a ballad about the grit involved in growing up in a lower income neighborhood, with an uncomfortable mesh of good and bad individuals and influences.

Just a few weeks back, Dion also released “Only” via VIBE, which is acting as the lead single off his upcoming project, Swoop Dreams. Both tracks have a certain melancholy to them to match the tale of Dion: a once aspiring basketball player, who’s life spiraled into hustling, then found its way into the rap culture. When asked about “Only,” Dion told VIBE:

“The money is symbolic for my dreams. There are always people out there that are looking to get in the way of your dreams. The dreamkillers! You can’t let them. The song “Only” to me is the start of something historic, the start of a unique sound from Harry and myself.”
