After a long wait, Kid Cudi‘s new album Passion, Pain & Demon Slayin’ has finally been released.

The album’s initial release date was back in September but following a delay as well as Cudi’s stay in rehab, it was put off for quite a few months.

Following last year’s Speedin Bullet 2 Heaven, Passion, Pain & Demon Slayin’ is jam packed with features from artists like Travis Scott, Andre 3000 and Pharrell. The record consists of 19 tracks in total and is produced by greats like Mike Will Made It, Dot Da Genius and Mike Dean.

Throwback to being a child and having your parents change the channel whenever the music video for 112‘s song “Anywhere” popped up. Unapologetically sexual, as well as retro, “Anywhere” details the desire to get down with a sexual partner “anywhere” they can.

Dot Da Genius and Woodrow Skillson make a very modern rendition of the edgy song in a collaborative effort which translates into a “Late Night with your partner” type of song- depends on how you see it. A drop with a smooth yet relentless 808 kick and soft vocals enhance this track to contemporary R&B standards.

Kid Cudi delivers his new single, “Goodbye.” The song begins with a scene from ‘Juice,’ in which Tupac’s character Bishop reaches a point of no return. The skit and production from WZRD match up like nothing else done before. It’s thrilling and chilling, and Cudi’s lyrics over the production doesn’t ease the gas pedal one bit. The tag-team system of Dot da Genius and Cudi work wonders on this one. It’s a great follow up to the previously released, “The Frequency.”

This new single from Cudi will land on his upcoming ‘Passion, Pain, & Demon Slayin’ album.

Cudi’s previous release of ‘Speedin’ Bullet 2 Heaven’ was received differently by many. A vast majority of people didn’t like the direction Cudi was heading, but there were some who embraced the transition. With all of that out of the way, we’re anticipating a more clear-cut sound on his next release.

Scott Mescudi, better known by his stage name Kid Cudi, returns with a new Dot Da Genius and self-produced single “Love,” for the “Cudderland” fans.

The feel-good single was said to be recorded around the time of his “Satellite Flight: The Journey to Mother Moon” album. The song came about during a recording session with Dot Da Genius but never was released, until now.

Throughout the song, Cudi chants encouraging words to anyone going through a lonely time in their lives.

“Don’t be so down, come on young homie, you’ll be okay / All of the stories, the hero gets lonely / Now is the time to show what you’re made of.”

Kid Cudi needed to get a few things off his chest, so he decided to hit us with a new track. “Going To The Ceremony” is an emotional joint that talks about the uncertainty of life. The beat is produced by WZRD; which is the duo of Cudi himself and Dot Da Genius. The darkness of the track really shines through due to the sinister guitar playing throughout the cut. Cudi‘s honesty is refreshing, and his voice has always let that come through in full effect. Hopefully this is the first of more new music from Cudder. Give the track a listen below.
