In a controversial move, the Supreme Court ruled that the travel imposed by the Trump Administration should be upheld.

On Tuesday (Jun 26), the Supreme Court ruled that Trump has the authority to ban travelers from certain majority-Muslim countries if he thinks it is “necessary to protect the United States.” In a 5 to 4 vote, with conservatives in the majority and Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr. writing the opinion, the highest court passed the ban definitively.

After news broke of the decision, Trump took to Twitter to express his excitement over passing the policy that he has been pushing since being announced president: “SUPREME COURT UPHOLDS TRUMP TRAVEL BAN. Wow!”

SUPREME COURT UPHOLDS TRUMP TRAVEL BAN. Wow!

— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) June 26, 2018

After the ruling, the White House issued a formal response taking a jab at his “declared enemies”, calling the ruling “a vindication following months of hysterical commentary from the media and Democratic politicians who refuse to do what it takes to secure our border and our country.”

Despite the ban being struck down in the lower courts which was first issued in January 2017, the Supreme Court claims that the ruling was only in favor due to Trump working within his political scope of power.

According to the Washington Post Supreme Court Justice John G. Roberts Jr. attempted to downplay the blatant political aspects of the case, by writing that the presidential proclamation that led to the ban “is squarely within the scope of presidential authority” and rejected arguments that the order was biased because of the predominant religion of most of the affected countries.

“The Proclamation is expressly premised on legitimate purposes: preventing entry of nationals who cannot be adequately vetted and inducing other nations to improve their practices,” Roberts wrote. “The text says nothing about religion. We express no view on the soundness of the policy.”

The current ban, issued last fall, barred various travelers from eight countries, six of them with Islam being the majority. The countries listed are Syria, Libya, Iran, Yemen, Somalia, North Korea and Venezuela.

As you probably know, Kanye West is back on Twitter and hasn’t lost his penchant for dropping random think-bombs for the world to dissect and process. In addition to the better announcements we’ve heard from the Chicago artist (namely, all of the new albums dropping), a controversial tweet did eventually arrive — ‘Ye is apparently a fan of Candace Owens. Added to that, he more recently decided to record video footage of Dilbert creator Scott Adams, further pushing conservative ideals to the masses. Not surprisingly, much of Hip-Hop isn’t impressed.

Enter Ebro Darden: via his Hot 97 outlet, he revealed that he recently spoke to Kanye about his tweets, and — according to Ebro and his morning show costars — learned that the G.O.O.D. Music mastermind still stands about his pro-Trump comments back in 2016 (as well as his meeting with his “friend” during a past Trump Tower visit).

Biggest take away from Ebro in the Morning today … Kanye West is still an avid Donald Trump supporter..you can process that however you like but if you’re waiting for him to say “my bad” about his trump statements — don’t hold your breath

— Rosenberg Media (@Rosenbergradio) April 23, 2018

Check out Ebro & Co.’s full breakdown above. If anything, it certainly makes me more intrigued about what ‘Ye will say on his new album…how can the man who formerly lambasted George W. Bush be such a supporter of Donald Trump?

During a meeting with a bipartisan group of senators at the White House on Thursday, U.S. President, Donald Trump referred to Haiti and African nations as “shithole countries.”

“Why do we need more Haitians, take them out,” President Trump reportedly said.

According to that report, someone else in the room responded: “Because if you do, it will be obvious why.”

Those words don’t sit well with many. That many includes MSNBC host and National Action President, Reverend Al Sharpton. “The deplorable statements by President Donald Trump while meeting with a bipartisan group of Senators at the White House regarding an immigration deal goes beyond racial insensitivity,” Reverend Sharpton said to RESPECT Magazine in a released statement.

“For the President to make these remarks just after he was quoted as saying all Haitians have AIDS and Nigerians live in huts demonstrates a consistent pattern of racism and bigotry. It is further concerning that he is doing it in policy meetings that will impact laws in this country and abroad.”

Reverend Sharpton believes that President Trump’s comments have been consistently racist and insensitive throughtout the first year of his presidency. “Trump uses white nationalist rhetoric to continue to explicitly define, disrespect, and destroy communities of color,” said Reverend Sharpton.

Reverend Sharpton believes that President Trump has once again shown his character by his recent remarks. He wants to see more done in response to President Trump’s statement on Thursday. “We must challenge the Senate and Congress to repudiate President Trump’s comments and every Senator that was in that meeting should publicly denounce him,” he said.

“They should also explain why they didn’t say anything in the meeting – and if they fail to answer, they should be targeted by the civil rights community as accomplices. This is the ultimate disrespect to hundreds of communities who believe in the American Dream – the same dream of equality and justice that Dr. King had. We will not let Trump or his Administration forget these words when we vote this year or in 2020.”

U.S. President Donald Trump President Trump indicated on Twitter yesterday that the much anticipated release secret government files on former U.S. President John F. Kennedy will happen today. This endsmore than 50 years of guessing of what actually happened.

The long anticipated release of the #JFKFiles will take place tomorrow. So interesting!

— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) October 25, 2017

Today is the deadline mandated by Congress to make still-secret documents, which also include FBI and CIA files, public.

Those documents have been kept under lock and key since JFK’s assassination by Lee Harvey Oswald on November 22, 1963.

Former U.S. President, Lyndon Johnson, JFK’s successor, created the Warren Commission to decipher whether Oswald acted alone. The Commission did not honor witnesses, supporting documents and film footage that suggested some sort of conspiracy.

The Warren Commission created a 26 volume report that housed a multitude of documents that the CIA and others fought tooth and nail to keep secret.

Insert former Secret Service agent, Clint Hill. Hill served under five U.S presidents; from Dwight D. Eisenhower to Gerald Ford. Hill is most notable for his act of bravery when President Kennedy was assassinated during his presidential motorcade in Dallas, Texas.

During the assassination, Hill ran from the car immediately behind the presidential limousine, leaped onto the back of it and shielded former First Lady, Jacqueline Kennedy and already stricken president with his body as the car raced to Parkland Memorial Hospital. Hill, who is the last surviving person in the presidential limousine that arrived at Parkland Hospital chatted with me in a Q & A about the experience on Scoop B Radio.

Brandon ‘Scoop B’ Robinson: Can you run us through the day that President Kennedy got shot and more specifically what was your detail?

Clint Hill: I was in the Secret Service at the time and my principle responsibility was Mrs. Kennedy and we had gone to Texas the day before on November 21st, 1963 and we traveled through San Antonio, Houston and Fort Worth and spent the night in Fort Worth. Then on the 22nd we traveled from Fort Worth to Dallas for the President to make a speech at the Trademark in Dallas, Texas but they wanted a motorcade through the downtown section of Dallas because the reason for the trip was to give maximum exposure to President and Mrs. Kennedy, Vice President and Mrs. Johnson, Governor and Mrs. Conley because they were very concerned about the election in 1964 which was about a year away. They hadn’t done too well in 1960 in Texas and they wanted to improve that, so they wanted to give the people of Texas an opportunity to see these people. So, we went through Dallas using open cars, they were specially built secret service cars but they were convertible cars so people would have the chance to really be up close and personal with their president. They crowds in Dallas that day were very large and enthusiastic and for the most part friendly and everyone in the Presidential Party was really pleased with the way that things were going, we traveled down Main Street in Dallas and the crowds were 15 to 20 deep on each side of the street screaming and hollering. People were hanging out of windows on the side of buildings, on rooftops, fire escapes and wherever they could be to get a better view of the president and as we progressed we had to make a turn off of Main Street to enable us to get to the destination for the speech and that put us right on a street called Elm Street which passed us right by a building called the Texas School Book Depository and as we progressed down Elm Street I was right behind the running board of the car directly behind the presidential vehicle, it’s called the Secret Service follow up car and I was on the left hand side in the forward position because that put me closest to Mrs. Kennedy. I was observing the areas to the left which was a grassy area

with a few people not many and immediately ahead there was going to be a triple underpass, we had to go under to get to the highway that would take us to our speech site and then all of a sudden over my right shoulder I hear this explosive noise at first I thought it might have been a firecracker or something because it really didn’t sound like a gun and I started to turn toward that noise to see if I could identify what it was and I only got as far as the rear of the presidential vehicle with my eyes because I saw what happened and I saw the President grab at his throat, move violently to his left and I knew something was wrong and apparently it was a gunshot so I jumped from my position and ran towards the presidential vehicle with the intent to get on top of the back of it as a shield for President and Mrs. Kennedy so that no more harm could be done and so I was running and there was a motorcycle officer immediately to my left making a lot of noise with his motorcycle unit and they told me later that there was a second shot when I ran but I couldn’t hear it because that motor noise and then just as I approached the presidential vehicle a third shot rang out and it hit the President in the head and I not only heard that but I felt it because it was so violent that when it entered the President’s skill it entered low in the rear and then it erupted out of the right rear side of the President’s head and blood, brain matter and skull fragments came out of that wound and was all over the car and all over me and Mrs. Kennedy and as I started to get out Mrs. Kennedy got out as well and started climbing up to the back of the trunk and was trying to reach some of that material that had come out of the President’s head and she didn’t even realize that I was there. So I grabbed her and put her back into the back seat and when I did that his body fell into Mrs. Kennedy’s lap and the right side of his face was up and I could see that his eyes were fixed and there was a hole in his skull and I could see no brain matter was left in that area and I could see that it was a fatal wound so I turned and gave a thumbs down to the other agents in the follow up car and screamed at the driver to get us to a hospital and we took off down the freeway at a high rate of speed going to the hospital.

Appearing on Scoop B Radio, World Peace said that if he were the ruler of the free world for a day, he’d institute a simple solution that would unite Trump voters and African Americans.. “I think that I would probably just focus on science,” Metta World Peace told me on Scoop B Radio.

NBA player turned sports analysts and budding political pundit Charles Barkley has been pretty consistent when it comes to assessing the job of U.S. President Donald Trump.

Appearing as a guest at the desk of CBS’s NFL Today show, earlier on Sunday, the Round Mound of Rebound weighed in on President Trump’s criticism of NFL Players kneeling during the playing of the U.S. National Anthem and taking back the White House’s invitation to the NBA’s World Champion Golden State Warriors.

“The president of the United States should never use the word SOB,” Barkley said referencing President Trump’s subliminal reference to embattled NFL free agent Colin Kaepernick during a Friday rally in Alabama.

For the record, Alabama is Barkley’s home state.

“That’s just 100 percent inappropriate. I’m embarrassed because he said the speech in Alabama and got a rousing reception when he said those things. So it hurts me that those ignorant folks in Alabama would applaud something so stupid.”

Barkley admittedly has been anti-Trump from the start dating back to the President’s ‘locker room talk’ controversy before winning last year’s election. A tape from 2005 emerged of Trump boasting to former NBC correspondent Billy Bush that being famous allowed him to ‘do anything’ to women, including grabbing “them by the pu**y.”

“It’s never appropriate to touch a woman, or grab a woman,” Barkley told me last fall.

“I have a daughter too. It’s never appropriate to sexually assault or harass a woman, ever!

“I’m gonna try to do everything in my power to support the President because he’s the President of The United States,” Barkley told me on Scoop B Radio in April.

“I mean we got to get behind him, he’s done some things already that I don’t like. I’m against the Muslim ban, I’m against the immigration deportation, he’s got to stop trying to paint everybody with a broad brush. I mean, it’s just wrong. Most of these Muslim people here are amazing, hard-working people same thing with these illegal immigrants, they’re here, they’re hard working people. I think most people don’t want gangsters here, people don’t want terrorists here we all understand that, but people have to be able to be treated with respect and dignity.”

Barkley’s thought process is pretty much aligned with the growing list of athletes who have been vocal about President Trump over the weekend. That list includes the Golden State Warriors Draymond Green, Houston Rockets’ Chris Paul, retired NBA player Kobe Bryant and the Cleveland Cavaliers’ LeBron James who on Saturday called President Trump a ‘bum’ via twitter. San Antonio Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich have been vocal about President Trump as well.
