New Music: Don Meeno Drops Pigeons

A staple in his home of Toronto, Don Meeno made a huge splash a few weeks ago with the release of his most recent music video for “Road Work,” featuring W5vy Davis. The recognition is not new for the upstart considering that he has been building his brand for quite some time. Double down on his progress, Don Meeno circles back, this time revealing the official visual for his latest single “Pigeons,” with W5vy Davis tagging along once again. In the red tinted clip, Meeno and company are seen flanked by several ladies pontificating about their exploits in the kitchen.

Listen to Don Meeno’s Newest Single “Press Play” Feat. W5vy Davis & Jahnear

After releasing the posse anthem “Pimpin’ Ain’t Easy” last week, Don Meeno returns to deliver his latest cut, “Press Play.” The single, which serves as the second release from his forthcoming project GIINCHY 5x, once again features Jahnear‘s island vibes and W5vy Davis‘ raspy vocals on the hook. Sampling Janet Jackson’s “Would You Mind,” Giinchy’s newest in-house producer TwoTone creates a sultry, yet still gritty instrumental, to which Don Meeno lays down a fluid delivery with poignant phrases.

Don Meeno will continue to release music until the release of GIINCHY 5X on February 5th, 2016. Take a look below.

Toronto-based artist Don Meeno has been steadily dropping records for his #MeenoMondays series. Today he returns with a new one titled “I Told Ya So (I.T.Y.S.)” featuring Friyie. A very jazzy-funk infused instrumental by BeatBusta, who also produced last week’s series single “West End”. Don Meeno takes listeners through a tale of experiences with those who did not believe in him at the beginning and the reaction they have now as he is doing well. Together, Don Meeno and Friyie creates a catchy vibe that not only incorporates poignant deliveries and a catchy hook, but also a soulful bounce that lives within the Toronto hip-hop scene.
