Allowing the stirring sample of Jaymes Young‘s “Parachute” to take the lead, Chox-Mak and Jus Daze rip their hearts from their chests and show them to their former lovers. Through the spectacle of their scar tissue, they reveal the cumulative effects that their previous relationships incurred. Their tones are accusatory, but their evidence is sound. They tried to endure, but their thresholds were both met and surpassed.

“Yourself” is a song for when bitterness is your only option, when you’ve wasted so much time trying to talk that your saliva becomes acid because that’s the only way you’ll be heard. Listen below.
