It really has been 9 years since we last heard Trina on her fifth album Amazin’; now, the Miami Rap veteran is back with a new body of work titled The One, which sees 15 new tracks and a slew of assists from peers old and new (DJ Khaled, 2 Chainz, Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne, Plies, Boosie Badazz, Dave East, Rico Love, K. Lil Nas X – 7

Lil Nas X. A name that’s pretty much taken over music in its entirety thanks to the massive success of the runaway Country-versial hit “Old Town Road” (and its Billy Ray Cyrus-assisted remix). Now, the Atlanta star looks to keep his momentum going with 7, an EP presumably named for its number of tracks. In addition to the aforementioned remix, the project also sees another collaboration with “Rodeo,” which features Cardi B.

Youngs Teflon – Tears

Youngs Teflon’s new project fully comes together this weekend. Last week and the week prior saw the release of two EPs, Blood and Swagg, which turned out to be two thirds of a fully body of work titled Blood, Swvgg & Tears, which — with the obvious addition of Tears — is now available in full for your enjoyment. Even with a lesser output these days, Gucci Mane has continued to deliver a consistent level of tunes since 2005’s “So Icy.” His latest attention to the collection has arrived in the form of Delusions Of Grandeur, which acts as the Atlanta rapper’s fourteenth official album (and not his 105th like I had guessed). Features on the 18-track offering include DJ Drama, Peewee Longway, Wiz Khalifa, Lil Uzi Vert, Rick Ross, Young Dolph, Justin Bieber, Lil Baby, Gunna, Meek Mill and more. For his latest project, Al-Doe teams up with the legendary DJ Drama to feed the streets with Legends of the Lobby — a 14-track project that comes loaded with plenty of heat including standout tracks like “Get It” featuring 600 Breezy and Makarel, as well as “Heavy Is The Head That Wears The Crown” featuring highly-touted lyricist Dave East. Aside from the the aforementioned appearances, Tree Mason also joins the line up to contribute to the project while Al receives undeniable production from the likes of Rico Suave, Buckwild, V’Don, Sean C & LV, Cleva Keys, and more.

It’s been approximately four years since the last album from DJ Drama hit the shelves and internet streaming services. On July 22, that all will change when he releases ‘Quality Street Music 2.’ It’s an album that was revealed in 2013, but isn’t an album that has been rush; this is where the quality finds a home.

DJ Drama stopped by Hot 97 to speak on the album, past hits, and much more. They reflect on how much of a hit “My Moment” was. It’s a song that lived on the first Quality Street Music. Here we are four years later, and Drama is still bringing us heat.

That was probably my biggest record here at the station, Drama said. I used to just love coming to the city and hear it all the time. That’s a moment for everybody, to come to Hot 97 and hear your record.

Drama’s forthcoming album will feature Lil Uzi Vert, Lil Wayne, Rich Homie Quan, Jeezy, Young Thug, T.I., Mac Miller, and many more. The project consist of ten tracks, making for a cohesive listen.

DJ Drama revealed the cover artwork for his upcoming album, ‘Quality Street Music 2′,  earlier and it’s about time! It’s been a long time coming.

As the album release date grows closer and closer, the Atlanta DJ decided to feed the streets a treat by dropping the tracklist for the second installment album and it does not disappoint. It contains 10 songs (short and simple) and includes the likes of Lil Uzi, Lil Wayne, Rich Homie Quan, Chris Brown, Trey Songz, Dave East, and plenty more!

Earlier this month, Snoop Dogg dropped the lead single “Kush Ups,” featuring like-minded rapper Wiz Khalifa.  Snoop debuted another song, “Fireworks,” on Jimmy Kimmel Live!  Since announced that there would be an album following, Snoop has an official release date and revealed the cover art for Coolaid on IG on Monday, June 13th.

It’s been five years since there has been a hip-hop album from Tha Doggfather himself, but wait no longer, July 1st we will be have that G thang back.  Coolaid will feature collaborations from Jeremih, Swizz Beatz, Just Blaze, and E-40.  The cover resembles the Snoop we used to know from previous covers of Doggystyle and Tha Last Meal.  Just Blaze has been hard at work on the project for some time, telling Billboard back in early May:

“For me personally, I love all the experimental things that he’s done the past few years, like the Bush album [with Pharrell in 2015], the album with Wiz [2011’s Mac & Devin Go to High School soundtrack], the Snoop Lion stuff [2013’s Reincarnated],” Blaze says. “But my personal favorite albums from Snoop, besides Doggystyle, obviously, are albums like [2002’s] Paid Da Cost to Be Da Boss, Rhythm & Gangsta [from 2004], where he kind of goes back to that Snoop personality that we all first fell in love with. And I was very excited to find out that that’s the direction he’s taking with this album. And just coincidentally, some of the stuff that I’ve been working on lately just kind of felt like an updated version of that old Death Row sound, kind of an updated G-Funk. I just started working on these tracks and they had a lot of those similar elements, just felt like newer versions of that feeling.”

“With me, I just like to be involved in a project whether it directly benefits me or not,” he says. “So if somebody has a great song and I have ideas and I feel like I can make the song better, I’m going to offer those ideas. But I think that’s kind of all been part of me and [Snoop] having a better working relationship. The final scope and definition of the project remains to be seen, but I’m just excited. I’ve always been a Snoop fan since Doggystyle and The Chronic, so to get a chance to work with him a little more extensively than just, ‘Here’s a beat,’ has been great.”

Da Brat also lended some inside on the Coolaid work.
