Dee Goodz is one of Tennessee’s biggest up and coming talents and he recently dropped a visual for his best record as of yet. Additionally, the record is produced by one of the hottest beat-makers in the game right now. Tay Keith. The single is titled “Baddies” and is track number two from Flave Factory album. We recently caught up with Dee to discuss the record. Check out the interview below!

RESPECT.: We love your single “Baddies.” How did working with Tay Keith come about?

Tay Keith had hits for a minute and I’ve been watching. I heard his production on a Blac Youngsta track and I was like who the fu*k made this beat! And it was Tay Keith. When I met him I was like man I like what you are doing. And he knew who I was and what I was doing too. He then he sent me the “Baddies” record, I sat on it for a while, and then I started recording.

RESPECT.: This is definitely a track for the ladies to dance to. Was that your goal when you were recording?

Lately I’ve been trying to make music that feels good you know. When I was growing up rappers had something to say and now everyone has something to say with social media and all of that. I want to stand out. I just stay focused on the vibe that people hear when they listen to the music.

RESPECT.: You released your album and dropped the music video. What is next?

I’m working hard and I have another project in the chamber. I don’t really have a name for it yet. More shows are on the way and I am going to continue to keep pushing the music. I believe I’m at a point right now where I have people interested so I’m just going to give them what they are asking for.

Nashville artist Dee Goodz is on a roll as he drops a trifecta of visuals off his upcoming project Flave Factory.

Produced by Yung Rowe (producer from Zaytoven‘s camp), “100” was shot at the infamous Cam Kirk Studios in ATL and features a cameo from up and coming designer OriginalFani.

The next visual is that for the Bandplay (Nashville super producer) produced single titled “The Groove.” The visual catches Dee riding in his favorite car (Chevy Camaro) while he lets off his arsenal of lyrical bars.

Check it out below.

Last, but surely not least, “Latest” is Goodz’ record that is produced by AllGoodz in-house producer Enrique1x. In the visual, Dee takes us to Fashion District Los Angeles where he gives off a few fashionable looks while serenading us about the grind.

With all of this heat Dee Goodz has been dropping, it’s safe to say that Flave Factory will be one to remember.

Dee Goodz and Chase N. Cashe link again for their follow up to the 2015 collaboration project with Good Money Vol. 2. Loaded with 12 songs of straight fire production and lyricism, the duo clearly shows that they are a solid force together. After a brief sit-down with Goodz he explained how he and Chase linked up:

We had been running into each other in different cities for some years and built an organic relationship. Chase is one my favorite producers. We have the utmost respect for each other’s grind and with us both being from the south, that made it more concrete.

There’s greetings from Slimm Body, CEO of Wholesale Entertainment, on Mother’s Day weekend with the melancholic “Nothing’s Promised,” another somber account of hood living and hood issues. It’s a twisted tribute to mothers everywhere; “doing whatever it takes” to take care of her children, the mother figure featured in the video grasps criminal activities, while juxtaposing shots of her maternal actions are tossed in the video. A murky look at the realities many families face when tasked with single parenthood.

“Nobody promised you nothing when you came up out your mom/except you’ll probably go to hell” are the first words uttered in the track, darkening the mood for the otherwise brightly filmed visual that’s outfitted with shots of nature and parental bonding. “Being dead by 21” is the lingua franca of minorities living in lower income neighborhoods, and the video taps into this by suggesting that even though this mother is doing all she can to provide for her children, there’s a web of crime that’s easily overlooked and tripped over awaiting her children in the future.

Dee Goodz, fresh off the release of his album Floetic Justice 3 and a relatively recent feature on Complex Hustle, supports Slimm throughout the track, adding aggression and red-bloodedness to the mellow track. You can stream the video above, and keep up with Slimm via his Twitter and Instagram.

Nashville native Dee Goodz strikes again with another single off his new project Never Enough. As with “How to Make a Million,” “Flossin'” takes a bird’s eye perspective on the living condition of Dee and his companions. The similarities between the two songs fall under the same umbrella; despite the lifestyle they have, it still isn’t enough. The real question is: Will it ever be?

This time around, Dee Goodz and Reese LaFlare team up with Atlanta native KEY!, who’s notably been featured on Father‘s “Look at Wrist,” and Raury‘s “Trap Tears.” Together, the three make the trap beat sing as they embolden the instrumentation about their lives. Speaking of which, the production, done marvelously by Matic Lee, has an extremely ominous tone to it- the base lines greeting the constant ringing in the background is smooth yet destructive, which acts as a very great way to further breathe life into this track.

Key! & Reese Laflare by Dee Goodz" width="500" height="400" scrolling="no" frameborder="no" src="https://w.soundcloud.com/player/?visual=true&url=https%3A%2F%2Fapi.soundcloud.com%2Ftracks%2F281701302&show_artwork=true&maxheight=750&maxwidth=500">

The Hundreds‘ premiere features an interview with Dee, where he talks about the dark atmosphere involved in making the project. “I’m paying my dues. The grind never stops. That’s what Never Enough means. I put the wreath on there, because that represents the never-ending cycle.”

You can expect Never Enough to drop very soon. In the meantime, delve into Dee’s SoundCloud and Twitter to keep up with him.

Matic Lee made a fiery, pounding, and bass heavy beat for Nashville rapper Dee Goodz– one where he took the aura from the instrumentation and constructed lyrics to match the feel. Thus, “How to Make a Million” was created.

This track serves as the first single from Dee Goodz upcoming project Never Enough, a reference to the never ending list of requirements it takes to lead a successful career, as well as a prosperous life. In “How to Make a Million,” the lighthearted track about accomplishments, Dee makes sure to narrow down the spectrum of challenges by proclaiming he can teach you “how to make a million off of swag.”

The track features Atlanta’s Ree$e, a rapper formerly acquainted with Lil Uzi Vert, but found himself falling out of touch with him and feeling disrespected to the point he released a diss track entitled “180secs.”

You can expect Never Enough to drop sometime this fall, and keep up with Dee Goodz via his Twitter and Soundcloud.
