A triumphant welcome back to the world from Childish Gambino appeared today on the MCs tumblr, embedded above. After a monthlong social media hiatus the comedian-cum-rapper has returned with a vengeance to the webs, with a revamped site and a new video featuring some new rhymes, Reggie Watts and performances from the spring’s “I Am Donald” tour. Not to mention the minimalistic announcement that the next album is coming, and will be called Camp. A mysterious piece of potential album artwork is featured below.

Gambino’s EP was one of this year’s most unique pieces of hip-hop creation, so another full-length album is big news. Normally we don’t like to engage in speculation, but the short, cryptic video by director Dan Eckman has me too pumped to restrain myself. Welcome back.
